Lebanon Women's National Futsal Team
The Lebanon women's national futsal team (; ) represents Lebanon in international women's futsal competitions. Nicknamed "the Lady Cedars", the team is controlled by the Lebanese Football Association (LFA). While Lebanon has yet to participate in the Women's Futsal World Tournament and the AMF Futsal Women's World Cup, they have participated once at the AFC Women's Futsal Asian Cup, in 2018, and twice in the WAFF Women's Futsal Championship, where they came fourth in 2012. ''Cedrus libani'', the cedar of Lebanon or Lebanese cedar (), is a species of tree in the genus cedrus, a part of the pine family, native to the mountains of the Eastern Mediterranean basin. AMF Futsal Women's World Cup
The AMF Futsal World Championships (previously called the FIFUSA Futsal World Championships) is the international championships for futsal, the indoor version of football organized by FIFUSA (1971–2002) and AMF (2003–present). The world championship tournament was held every three years until 2003, and is now played every four years. The first event was held in 1982 in Brazil. The South American teams have won most of the championships, with Colombia and Paraguay as the most successful teams with 3 titles each. Since 2008, a women's tournament is also held. As of 2017, only three tournaments have been played: the 2008 edition in Spain, the 2013 edition in Colombia and the 2017 edition held once again in Spain. 2020 AFC Women's Futsal Championship
The 2020 AFC Women's Futsal Championship was to be the third edition of the AFC Women's Futsal Championship, the biennial international futsal championship organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the women's national teams of Asia. Kuwait was confirmed by the AFC as tournament hosts on 18 March 2020. The tournament was originally scheduled between 2–12 July 2020, but had been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Kuwait had expressed an interest to host the tournament in September 2021. A total of 16 teams were expected to take part in the tournament. Iran women's national futsal team, Iran are the defending champions, having won both previous editions. Squads Each team had to submit a squad of 14 players, including a minimum of two goalkeepers. The 2015 AFC Women's Futsal Championship was the first edition of the AFC Women's Futsal Championship, the biennial international futsal championship organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the women's national teams of Asia. The 2015 Women's Futsal World Tournament was the sixth edition of the Women's Futsal World Tournament, the premier world championship for women's national futsal teams.
