Benjamin Brian Thomas Watt (born 6 December 1962) is a British musician, singer, songwriter, author, DJ and radio presenter, best known as one half of the duo Everything but the Girl. Early life Watt was born in Marylebone, London, and grew up in Barnes, the son of Scottish jazz bandleader and arranger Tommy Watt and showbusiness writer Romany Bain. He has four older half brothers and sisters. Recording artist Watt began recording in 1981 on the indie label Cherry Red. His first single 'Cant' was produced by folk-maverick Kevin Coyne and featured Richard Allen on viola and tambourine. His second release, 1982's 5-track EP ''Summer into Winter'' featured Robert Wyatt on backing vocals and piano. His debut album ''North Marine Drive'' was released in 1983 and reached UK Independent Album Charts Top 10. The Lazy Dog (sometimes called a Red Dot Bomb or Yellow Dog Bomb) was a small, unguided kinetic projectile used by the U.S. Air Force. It measured about in length, in diameter, and weighed about . The weapons were designed to be dropped from an aircraft. They contained no explosive charge but as they fell they would develop significant kinetic energy making them lethal and able to easily penetrate soft cover such as jungle canopy, several inches of sand, or light armor. Lazy Dog munitions were simple and relatively cheap; they could be dropped in huge numbers in a single pass. Though their effects were often no more deadly than other projectiles, they did not leave unexploded ordnance (UXO) that could be active years after a conflict ended. Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar is an American casual dining restaurant chain. As of February 6, 2022, Lazy Dog operates 40 restaurants across eight states: California, Florida, Nevada, Texas, Colorado, Illinois, Georgia and Virginia. The restaurant's name was originally going to be Rocky Mountain Cafe. However, Lazy Dog Cafe received its unique name because Chris Simms, its founder, believed that the restaurant was "too serious" and wanted to make it more "kid-friendly". Chris Simms's father and partner in the business, Tom Simms, founded and later sold the popular restaurant chain Mimi's Cafe. The restaurant's seats have dog prints so that "kids would feel welcome". In August 2003, a new restaurant was opened by Chris Simms in Westminster, California. It is decorated with photographs and drawings of hounds.
