Hacride
Hacride is a French progressive metal band. Formed in 2001 with musicians coming from an array of different bands, musical backgrounds and styles their sound has evolved from the raw extremities and odd time signatures of technical death metal to one that is more progressive and avant-garde. Biography Hacride was formed in 2001 in the French city of Poitiers by Benoist Danneville (bass), Adrien Grousset (guitar), Samuel Bourreau (vocals) and Olivier Laffond (drums). In 2003 they released their first promo CD entitled ''Cyanide Echoes'', then produced with Matthieu Metzger. In 2005, the band appeared on the compilation ''Revolution Calling'' with the song "The Daily Round" through record label Listenable Records. In the same year they recorded their first full-length album called ''Deviant Current Signal'' and released it with the same record label. ''Rise'' is the fifth studio album from Christian rap artist Trip Lee. The album was released in 2014, through Reach Records. The album includes features from Lecrae, Andy Mineo, and This'l among others. Four singles were released for the album; "Shweet", "Sweet Victory", "Manolo" and "Beautiful Life 2 (Mine)". Concept Trip Lee explained the concept of the album saying that; "It's a call-to-action to rise from the dead and actually live. We're born spiritually dead, and I'm calling for everyone to become spiritually alive. Secondly, don't wait until later to live the way you were created. God created you to honor Him, find joy, and serve others. Don't sleep on that. Lastly, rise above the low expectations people have." Content The song features vocals from Alison "VV" Mosshart of The Kills. The cover art features a collage of the band members blurred faces. All three faces were featured individually on the previous three singles released for the album. Release "Meds" was released on 9 October 2006 in both vinyl and CD format. The song was released to alternative rock radio airplay in the U.S. in late 2006.
