Victoria Park, Leamington Spa
Victoria Park is a public park in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, England. It is situated about half a mile (800 m) west of the town centre and is on the south bank of the River Leam. The total area of the park as it stands today is . History & Features Up until the 1830s the park was just part of farmland on the edge of the growing spa town. It was at that time that one of the local land owning families, the Willes, began to hold archery competitions on the land. In the middle of the nineteenth century Leamington Cricket club made their first home there and in the 1860s the New Riverside Walk was opened. The park was extensively landscaped and redesigned in 1899 to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria. Before the Royal Show moved to Stoneleigh Park one of its venues was Victoria Park. Hannah Smith (bowls)
Hannah Smith (born 14 July 1986) is a Scottish and former Welsh international lawn and indoor bowler. Bowls career Smith from Carmarthen won the fours gold medal at the 2009 Atlantic Bowls Championships. She then won a bronze medal in the pairs at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi and two years later won another bronze in the triples at the 2012 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Adelaide. Smith later represented Scotland and in 2019 she won the Scottish National Bowls Championships pairs title with Claire Johnston. Smith and Johnston then went on to win the 2022 pairs title at the British Isles Bowls Championships in Llandrindod Wells. Colleen Piketh (' Webb; born 26 December 1972) is a South African international lawn bowler. Bowls career In 2007 she won the singles gold medal at the Atlantic Bowls Championships. In 2011 she won the pairs and fours silver medals at the Atlantic Bowls Championships. Piketh competed in the women's pairs and the women's singles events at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where she won a gold and bronze medal respectively.
