Laurent Pietraszewski
Laurent Pietraszewski (born 19 November 1966) is a French politician of La République En Marche! (LREM) who served as Secretary of State for Pensions in the governments of successive Prime Ministers Édouard Philippe and Jean Castex from 2019 to 2022. Early career Prior to his election, Pietraszewski had never been politically active. He was Director of Human resources at Auchan. Political career Pietraszewski became a member of the French National Assembly in the 2017 elections, representing department of Nord's 11th constituency. In parliament, Pietraszewski served as member of the Committee on Economic Affairs, where he was his parliamentary group's coordinator from 2018 until 2019. Within his parliamentary group, he was one of the proponents of the government's plans for a reform of the pensions system. 2022 French Legislative Election
Legislative elections in France were held on 12 and 19 June 2022 to elect the 577 members of the 16th National Assembly of the Fifth French Republic. The elections took place following the 2022 French presidential election, which was held in April 2022. They have been described as the most indecisive legislative elections since the establishment of the five-year presidential term in 2000 and subsequent change of the electoral calendar in 2002. Xavier Bertrand (; born 21 March 1965) is a French politician who has been serving as president of the regional council of Hauts-de-France since the 2015 regional elections. 2021 French Regional Elections
Regional elections were held in France on 20 June and 27 June 2021. At stake were the regional councils in metropolitan and overseas France including the Corsican Assembly, Assembly of French Guiana and Assembly of Martinique, all for a six-year term. The Departmental Council of Mayotte, which also exercises the powers of a region, also participated in this election, because the departmental elections were held at the same time. Eighteen regional presidencies were at stake, with thirteen in mainland France and Corsica, as well as five overseas. Though they do not have legislative autonomy, these territorial collectivities manage sizable budgets. Moreover, regional elections are often perceived as a mid-term opinion poll.
