Latin Grammy Award For Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album
The Latin Grammy Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album is an award presented at the Latin Grammy Awards since 2012. The award replaced the previous awards for Best Female Pop Vocal Album, Best Male Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Album by a Duo or Group with Vocals. According to the Latin Grammy category definitions, it is designed "For albums containing 51% or more playing time of newly recorded (previously unreleased) material and 51% playing time of Traditional Pop music. Albums must also contain 51% or more playing time of vocal tracks. For solo artists, duos or groups." The 14th Annual Latin Grammy Awards was held on Thursday, November 21, 2013, at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. This was the sixth time that Latin Grammys has been held at this location. The main telecast was broadcast on Univision at 8:00 PM EST. The nominations were announced on September 25, 2013. Javier Garza, Illya Kuryaki and the Valderramas and Carlos Vives led the nominations with five nods each. Presuntos Implicados was a Spanish pop band, created in March 1983 in Yecla, Murcia. The band was originally composed of the siblings Sole Giménez and Juan Luis Giménez, and their friend Pablo Gómez. In the same year 1983, they won a radio contest and their first recording, ''Danzad, Danzad Malditos'', appeared one year later under the RCA label. But the record company forced them to write more commercial songs outside their style, and they left in 1986 to work with an independent label, Discos Intermitentes. Pablo Gómez left the group and Javier Vela arrived to replace him.
