Last Resort (1986 Film)
''Last Resort'' is a 1986 comedy film directed by Zane Buzby and produced by Julie Corman. It revolves around George Lollar (Charles Grodin), who takes his family on vacation to "Club Sand", a shoddy and untrustworthy company. On this tropical island they find soldiers everywhere, an unhelpful staff, inhospitable accommodations and undesirable holiday makers, but everyone except for George manages to have fun in the sun. Plot A Chicago salesman (Charles Grodin) takes his wife (Robin Pearson Rose) and children to Club Sand, a hot spot surrounded by barbed wire. Zane Buzby
Zane Buzby is an American director, actress, and philanthropist. Life and career Zane Buzby grew up in East Meadow, New York, and graduated with honors from Hofstra University with degrees in performance and dramatic literature. She began her show business career as an assistant film editor working for The Beatles' Apple Films on ''The Concert for Bangladesh'' and '' The Holy Mountain'' by Alejandro Jodorowsky. Her first major acting credit was in the Carl Reiner film '' Oh, God!'' (1977). Steve Levitt (born February 29, 1960) is an American actor who has appeared in films and on television. He is best known for his role in the 1987 movie '' Hunk'' as Bradley Brinkman and a recurring role in the Showtime TV series '' The Paper Chase''. John Otto "Buck" Young (April 12, 1920 – February 9, 2000) was an American actor who played the role as Sergeant Whipple on the ''Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.'' TV series, and Deputy Joe Watson on ''The Andy Griffith Show''. In 1944, during World War II, Young was drafted into the US Army Air Forces. He married actress Peggy Stewart in 1953 and had two children, Grey Young and Abigail Young who each acted in one film.
