Las Vegas Concours D'Elegance
The Las Vegas Concours d'Elegance is an automotive Concours d'Elegance event held annually at the Wynn Las Vegas, Wynn in Las Vegas Valley, Las Vegas, Nevada. History Concours d’Elegance arrived in Las Vegas in 2019 as the 40th sanctioned event to join the roster of Concours exhibitions and competitions around the globe. Founder and Chairman Stuart Sobek recognized not only that Las Vegas is a destination teeming with local and visiting fans of upscale classic and modern cars, the city’s dazzling architecture and reputation as the entertainment capital of the world also provide a fitting framework for the beauty of exceptional automobiles. The Inaugural Las Vegas Concours d'Elegance was held on Saturday October 26, 2019 with 140 cars from around the World, at the DragonRidge Country Club in the affluent MacDonald Highlands. Mullin Automotive Museum
The Mullin Automotive Museum is a privately owned automobile museum in Oxnard, California, US. Established in 2010, it displays the personal car collection of businessman and philanthropist Peter W. Mullin. The museum has a large collection of vintage Bugattis, and many of the cars are fully restored and able to be driven. The museum is housed in the building formerly occupied by the Chandler Vintage Museum of Transportation and Wildlife. The building was remodeled to be more energy efficient by American architect David Randall Hertz, making use of solar panels and reflective roofing to reduce heat, yet incorporating elements that retain the Art Deco style and motifs in order to match the era of the cars, many of which were made by French manufacturers in the 1920s and 1930s. The Twenty Grand is the name given to the one-off custom 1933 Rollston Arlington Torpedo-bodied Duesenberg SJ ultra-luxury sedan. The design's initial price tag of an astronomical US$20,000 ($ in dollars ) during the height of the Great Depression infamously gave it its nickname of Twenty Grand. It is widely considered to be the most famous Duesenberg ever built and the pioneer of the ultra-luxury car design, making it one of the most valuable cars in the world at over $40 million dollars. Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud
The Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud is a luxury automobile produced by Rolls-Royce Limited from April 1955 to March 1966. It was the core model of the Rolls-Royce range during that period. The Silver Cloud replaced the Silver Dawn and was, in turn, replaced by the Silver Shadow. The J. P. Blatchley design was a major change from the pre-war models and the highly derivative Silver Dawn. As part of a range rationalisation the Bentley S1 is very similar, apart from its radiator grille. Packard or Packard Motor Car Company was an American luxury automobile company located in Detroit, Michigan. John Kevin Cogan (born in Culver City, California on March 31, 1956) is a former race car driver who drove in Formula One from to . Driving a RAM Williams in the 1980 Canadian Grand Prix, he failed to qualify, suffering the same result driving for Tyrrell at the 1981 US GP West. He then moved over to Indy cars in 1982 but his career was cut short by a series of accidents. Helen Richards-Nethercutt (born September 12, 1952) is an American businesswoman and autism philanthropist. Career Helen Wilkins was born in 1952 in Buckingham, Illinois and graduated from Herscher High School in 1969. She married U.S. Army specialist John Richards and adopted the name Helen Richards. They had two children, Travis and an autistic son Trent. Jack Boison Nethercutt II (born December 22, 1936) is an American businessman and former professional racing driver. He notably used #102 and competed in the World Sportscar Championship and USAC Road Racing Championship. He is the second owner of The Nethercutt Collection and holds the most victories at the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance.
