Las Manos De Filippi
Las Manos de Filippi (in English: ''The Hands of Filippi'') and also LMF, is a group of Argentine rock fusion and alternative style, which blends Caribbean Rhythms like cumbia, ska, hip hop, reggae and punk rock. His songs contain messages against capitalism, the International Monetary Fund and the political power shift, as well as a critical look at society, using as a basis the complaint, irony and humor. Its name comes sarcastically, by stealing the hands of Juan Domingo Perón and his fanaticism for the French band Mano Negra. They are also known his membership with the Workers' Party and the defense to the working class. Bersuit Vergarabat
Bersuit Vergarabat is an Argentine rock band that formed formally in 1987. History The previous name of the band (from 1987 to May 1989) was ''Henry y la Palangana''. By the end of 1989, the band had changed name several times, adopting nonsensical names like "Ernios of arcabio", "Aparrata Vergi", "Seria Soneub" (Buenos Aires spelled backwards); but eventually settled on "Bersuit Vergarabat Van de ir" then keeping only "Bersuit Vergarabat" its most iconic name. After two albums of underground transgressor rock, the band began to experiment with Latin American rhythms such as cumbia, chacarera, candombe and cuartetazo. The lyrics, though, remained acid and critical with regard to political and social problems. Mano Negra (band)
Mano Negra (complete Spanish name: ''La Mano Negra'', sometimes abbreviated to ''La Mano'' in France) was a French music group active from 1987 to 1994 and fronted by Manu Chao. The group was founded in Paris by Chao, his brother Antoine and their cousin Santiago, all born of Galician and Basque parents with partly Cuban roots. Their songs were mostly in Spanish, English and French, often switching from one language to the other in the same song or in the middle of a sentence or title (e.g. "Puta's Fever"). They also had a hit song in Arabic. They are considered pioneers of world fusion. The hands of Juan Perón, former President of Argentina, were dismembered and removed from his tomb in 1987 by unknown burglars. The incident Perón died in July 1974. His casket remained in the '' Quinta de Olivos'' presidential residence until the March 1976 coup. The coffin was then placed in the Perón family tomb in Chacarita Cemetery, located in the Chacarita ward of the city of Buenos Aires.
