Larry Mitchell (ice Hockey)
Larry Mitchell (born June 2, 1967) is a German-born Canadian professional ice hockey coach and a former professional ice hockey player. He has been serving as sporting director of ERC Ingolstadt in the German top-flight Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) since March 2017. Playing career Mitchell spent his early career in his native Canada, playing for the Brockville Braves in the CJAHL, followed by a stint with OHL’s Cornwall Royals. In 1988, he signed his first contract with a team in Germany, Dinslakener EC of the country’s third tier league. He recorded 70 goals and 59 assists in 38 games for the club. Mitchell then stayed in Germany for the remainder of his professional career, mostly playing for lower league teams. His 14 appearances in the German top-flight Deutsche Eishockey Liga for Krefeld and Hannover came between 1995 and 1997. A proven scorer at the 2. Straubing Tigers
The Straubing Tigers are a professional men's ice hockey team, based in Straubing, Germany, that competes in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. Straubing plays its home games at the Eisstadion am Pulverturm, which has a capacity of 5,800 spectators. EV Landsberg
EV Landsberg was the name of two ice hockey clubs in Landsberg, Bavaria, Germany. The first club was outsourced from the soccer club TSV 1880 Landsberg in 1957 and played until 1999–2000. The senior team played in the German 2nd Division for more than 30 years. In 1966 they came close to winning promotion to the top division, only losing out in a decisive playoff match against Berliner SC. Notable players were former USA Hockey executive Jim Johannson, and former Russian national team head coach Oleg Znarok. The second club with the original name EV Landsbeg 2000 was founded in 2000 when the first EV Landsberg collapsed. The club was renamed EV Landsberg in 2010 and collapsed in 2011. The Cornwall Royals were a junior ice hockey team based in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. The team played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League from 1969 to 1981, and the Ontario Hockey League from 1981 to 1992. This team shared its name with other Cornwall Royals teams that played in the QSHL, MMJHL, or OHA-B. The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) is an association of Canadian junior A ice hockey leagues and teams and was formed in November 1993, emerging from the Canada West Association of Junior 'A' Hockey. The champion of the Canadian Junior Hockey League wins the Centennial Cup. The CJHL spans the majority of Canada, from the Prairies to the Atlantic Coast.
