Larry Butler (producer)
Larry Butler (March 26, 1942 – January 20, 2012) was a country music producer/songwriter. From the mid-1970s through the 1980s, he worked with Kenny Rogers. Many of his albums with Rogers went either gold or platinum and accumulated many millions of sales around the world. These albums include ''Kenny Rogers'' (1976), ''The Gambler'' (1978), ''Gideon'' (1980) and ''I Prefer The Moonlight'' (1987). Rogers and Butler maintained a friendship outside of show business. Butler also produced Rogers' 1993 album ''If Only My Heart Had A Voice''. He also participated in Rogers 2006 retrospective DVD ''The Journey''. Butler is the only Nashville producer to win the Grammy Award for Producer of the year. Larry Butler (born July 10, 1952) is a former professional American football and Canadian football offensive lineman who played two season in the World Football League (WFL)for the 1974 New York Stars and 1975 Charlotte Hornets and six seasons in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Butler attended Science Hill High School in Johnson City, Tennessee where he is a member of the Science Hill Sports Hall of Fame. Larry Thomas Butler (born July 21, 1957), nicknamed The Bald Eagle, is an American professional darts player who was the winner of the 1994 PDC World Matchplay Darts Championship. This success made him the first and so far only American player to have won a major darts tournament in Europe. Butler also had some success in his home country, winning the 1993, 1994, 1995 New York Open, the 1994 Darts America Championship, the 1991, 1992, 1993 World Bullshooter Championship, and the 1991, 1992, 1994, 1995 Cincinnati Spring Fling Open. Lawrence Butler (basketball)
Lawrence Eugene Butler (March 15, 1957 – October 23, 2018) was an American basketball player. He led NCAA Division I in scoring while playing for the Idaho State Bengals during the 1978–79 season. Butler was selected by the Chicago Bulls in the 1979 NBA draft although he never played professionally. Butler was born in Glasgow, Missouri, and attended Glasgow High School. He began his college basketball career at Western Texas Community College. He transferred to Idaho State for his final two seasons. In Lawrence's junior year and his first at Idaho State, he averaged 23.8 points in 26 games played, which led the conference in scoring. The following season, Lawrence's per-game scoring average jumped to 30.1, beating out future Basketball Hall of Famer Larry Bird of Indiana State for the national scoring title. Larry B. Butler is an American politician serving as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives from the 72nd district. He assumed office in 2007. Early life and education Butler was born and raised in Waterbury, Connecticut. He studied political science at Central Connecticut State University for two years and also attended the Computer Processing Institute. Career Prior to entering politics, Butler worked as a software engineer. He served as a member of the Waterbury Board of Aldermen from 1997 to 2006.
