Lapadas Do Povo
''Lapadas do Povo'' () is the fourth album of the Brazilian band Raimundos. It was launched in 1997, and produced by Mark Dearnley, at Sound City Studio, in Los Angeles. Reviewers of the album found it to be pleasantly heavier than the band's previous offerings, but that came at the cost of the removal of some of their prior local Northeastern Brazilian flavor. Raimundos
Raimundos is a Brazilian punk/hardcore band formed in 1987 by Digão and Rodolfo Abrantes, in Brasília, Distrito Federal. They had with major influences from 1980s punk bands, especially Ramones, from which their name is a play of. Raimundos went on to achieve major success and become one of the most influential rock bands of Brazil in the 1990s, with multiple gold records and a double platinum achievement on their MTV live album. The band's prominence decreased significantly with the exit of vocalist Abrantes to focus on religious activities. The name of the band alludes and ironically refers to the proper name Raimundo, as it was one of the most common male first names of persons from the Northeast region of Brazil, while also being a local-flavored homage to the Ramones. Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. In music performances, rhythm guitar is a technique and role that performs a combination of two functions: to provide all or part of the rhythmic pulse in conjunction with other instruments from the rhythm section (e.g., drum kit, bass guitar); and to provide all or part of the harmony, i.e. the chords from a song's chord progression, where a chord is a group of notes played together. Rodolfo Gonçalves Leite de Abrantes (born September 20, 1972) is a Brazilian hardcore punk singer and electric guitar player. He was the vocalist and former leader of the Brazilian bands Raimundos and Rodox and now he is a solo gospel artist, as well as pastor and minister.
