Lamine Diawara (born 1971 in Bamako) is a retired Malian basketball player. Diawara was a member of the Mali national basketball team, and earned the FIBA AfroBasket Most Valuable Player while playing with Team Mali at the FIBA Africa Championship 1999. Diawara played his club ball with Al Ittihad Aleppo in Syria, where he was both the import player of the year and player of the year in 2005-06 in Syria's top league. Mahmadu Lamine
al-Hajj Mahmadu Lamine (died 9 December 1887) was a nineteenth-century Senegalese Tijani marabout who led an unsuccessful rebellion against the French colonial government. Early life, education, and hajj Lamine, also known as al-Hajj Muḥammad al-Amīn, was born between 1830 and 1840 at Goundiorou, near Kayes in what is now Mali. Educated in the Qur'an first by his father, a cleric, Lamine studied as well at Tabajang and Bunumbu before later study under Fodé-Mohammed-Saloum at Bakel. He traveled to Ségou, probably after 1850, where he met Umar Tall and may have served him. Some time between 1864 and 1874, Lamine went on a hajj, likely leaving Ségou a while after the death of Umar Tall and returning between 1878 and 1880. Uprising Lamine traveled to Upper Senegal and began gathering followers using the prestige gained from his hajj and subsequent role in the Toucouleur jihad. Issa Lamine is a Nigerien politician. He led the Toubou-based ''Front Democratique Revolutionnaire'', one of several rebel groups operating in the far north and east of Niger in the late 1990s. Lamine entered government as a representative of the eastern town of N'Gourti in 2000. As a member of the Democratic and Social Convention (CDS-Rahama), he was a Deputy in the National Assembly of Niger and then served in the government of Niger as Minister of Public Health from 2007 to 2009. Lamine-Gueye Koné (born 1 February 1989), known as Lamine Koné, is a professional footballer who most recently played as a centre-back for FC Lausanne-Sport. Born in France, he represents the Ivory Coast national team. Club career Early career Koné began his career with local youth clubs in the Île-de-France region. In 2003, he joined second division club LB Châteauroux and, after three years in the club's youth academy, was promoted to the senior team for the 2005–06 season. Lamine Guèye (born 18 July 1960) is a Senegalese skier, and the current president of the Senegalese Ski Federation, which he founded in 1979. He competed at three Winter Olympic Games for Senegal, in 1984, 1992 and 1994. Amadou Lamine-Guèye (20 September 1891 in Médine, French Sudan – 10 June 1968 in Dakar) was a Senegalese politician who became leader of the '' Parti Sénégalais de l'Action Socialiste'' ("Senegalese Party of Socialist Action").
