Lakshmi Kalyanam (2007 Film)
''Lakshmi Kalyanam'' is a 2007 Indian Telugu-language romantic action film directed by Teja. Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Kajal Aggarwal played the lead roles. The film was released on 15 February 2007 and was declared an ''Average'' at the box office. The film was dubbed into Hindi as ''Meri Saugandh'' (2011) and into Tamil as ''Machakaalai''. This film was Kajal's Telugu cinema and lead debut. Plot Two feuding villages form the backdrop of this story, with Ramu (Kalyan Ram) and Lakshmi (Kajal Aggarwal) belonging to one village and villain Giridhar ( Ajay) to another. Teja (born Jasti Dharma Teja; 22 February 1966) is an Indian cinematographer turned director and screenwriter, known for his work primarily in Telugu cinema. Karthik (singer)
Karthik (born 7 November 1980) is an Indian playback singer and composer. Karthik started his professional singing career as a backing vocalist and has since been working as a playback singer. He has sung more than 8000 songs in 15 Indian languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Odia, Bengali, Marathi and Hindi. Lakshmipati () is an epithet of the Hindu deity Vishnu. It refers to his status of being the consort of the Hindu goddess Lakshmi, as well as being associated with her attribute of prosperity.
