Eulalia (c. 290 – February 12, 303), co-patron saint of Barcelona, was a 13-year-old Roman Christian virgin who was martyred in Barcelona during the persecution of Christians in the reign of emperor Diocletian (although the Sequence of Saint Eulalia mentions the "pagan king" Maximian). There is some dispute as to whether she is the same person as Eulalia of Mérida, whose story is similar. Laia Abril (born 1986) is a Catalan artist whose work relates to bio-politics, grief and women rights. Laia Forcadell Arenas (born June 6, 1982 in Tortosa, Tarragona, Catalonia) is a female Spanish sprinter and hurdler. She won the gold medal for the 400 m hurdles at the 2006 Ibero-American Championships in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and bronze at the 2010 Ibero-American Championships in San Fernando, Cádiz, Spain. Laia Lluisa Tutzó Moreno (born 9 October 1980) is a Spanish former sailor, who specialized in the two-person dinghy (470) and Yngling classes. Together with her partner Natalia Vía Dufresne, a four-time Olympian and a double silver medalist, she was named one of the country's top sailors in the double-handed dinghy for the 2008 Summer Olympics, rounding out the top-ten crews in the final race.
