Lahnda () () also known as Lahndi or Western Punjabi, is a group of north-western Indo-Aryan language varieties spoken in parts of Pakistan and India. Its validity as a genetic grouping is not certain. Terms like ''Lahnda'' or ''Western Punjabi'' are exonyms employed by linguists, and are not used by the speakers themselves. Lahnda includes the following languages: Saraiki (spoken mostly in southern Pakistani Punjab by about 26 million people), the diverse varieties of Hindko (with almost five million speakers in north-western Punjab and neighbouring regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially Hazara), Pahari/Pothwari (3.5 million speakers in north-central Punjab, Azad Kashmir and parts of Indian Jammu and Kashmir), Khetrani (20,000 speakers in Balochistan), and Inku (a possibly extinct language of Afghanistan). Lahanda, Bargarh
Lahanda is a village in Odisha, India. It is located in the Attabira block of Bargarh district. History of the village There is a story behind the naming of the village Lahanda. According to the villagers the village is named so because in this village there has been huge production of iron handas earlier which led to such naming. Educational institutions The village has one primary school known as Lahanda Primary School Established well back in the year 1901. The village has also a high-school with the name Lahanda Government High School established in the year 1981. The village has no college for which students rely upon Larambha College which is about 12 km away and Bargarh Panchayat College about 25 km away. Kendujhar District, is an administrative district of Odisha. The district is one of the fifth Scheduled Areas of Odisha. The town of Kendujhar (or Kendujhargarh) is the district headquarters. The district has 3 Sub-Divisions, Anandapur, Champua, and Kendujhar. Etymology Origin of the name Keonjhar/Kendujhar is not certain. In the locals pronounce the name as ''Kenjhar''. In medieval Sanskrit inscriptions the name is "Kenjhar" is found. The name has been Sanskritised to Kendujhar by the ex-Durbar government. Sundargarh District is a district in the northwestern part of Odisha state in eastern India.
