António Lagarto Ordem do Infante Dom Henrique, GOIH is a Portuguese theatrical scenery, set and costume designer and artist. Biography Lagarto lived in London through the seventies and eighties, having graduated at St. Martin's School of Art (sculpture) and the Royal College of Art (environmental media). He developed his activity between London, Lisbon and Paris. He was director of Teatro Nacional D. Maria II (Lisbon's national theatre) in 2005 and 2006, after being deputy director from 1989–1993. He was director of Festival Internacional de Teatro – FIT (Lisbon's International Theatre Festival) (1991–1995). Lucio Rodrigues (born October 26, 1980), aka "Lagarto" (lizard in Portuguese), is a 3rd degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He is also a fighter (MMA and BJJ) and a teacher. He currently lives and coach in London, UK. Lucio was nicknamed "Lagarto" by Marcio Feitosa, as a joke due to Lucio's resemblance to the reptile. Operation Lagarto was an Australian military operation in Timor during World War II in 1943. It was run by the Services Reconnaissance Department. The Naval component of the mission was named Operation Mosquito. The operation was ambushed and captured. Japanese intelligence used information from the mission to lure other Australian commandos to Timor where they were captured and killed, notably Operation Cobra (Timor), Operation Sunlag and Operation Suncob. Background The mission was led by Lt M de J. Pires, a Portuguese army pilot who had been the administrator of a large Timorese province and who had been evacuated from Timor. In 1943 he was placed in charge of a four-man team under the SRD to go back to Timor and evacuate over 100 refugees, establish an informant net to cover enemy movements, and report on enemy activities. ''Chioninia coctei'' (also called Bibron's skink, the Cape Verde giant skink, Cocteau's skink, and ''lagarto'' in Portuguese) was a species of lizard that was at one time known to inhabit the islets of Branco and Raso in the Cape Verde islands of the Atlantic Ocean, islets rendered deserts by human-caused habitat destruction.
