Ladro Lui, Ladra Lei
''Ladro lui, ladra lei'' is a 1958 Italian comedy film directed by Luigi Zampa. Starring Alberto Sordi and Sylva Koscina, it tells the story of a young woman in Rome who is first sucked into a life of crime by a released convict and then has an awakening of conscience. Plot From a poor district beside the railway tracks, Cesira tries to earn a living as an ill-paid salesgirl but will not accept the male advances that go with the job. Back into her life breezes Cencio, a career criminal who is just out of jail and looking for new opportunities. He tries blackmailing all of Cesira's former employers who have forced their attentions on her, and from one of them steals an expensive watch. This he gives to Cesira as a present but she, needing money not useless ostentation, sells it to a jeweller who is also a notorious fence. Luigi Zampa
Luigi Zampa (2 January 1905 – 16 August 1991) was an Italian film director. Biography Son of a worker, Zampa studied filmmaking from 1932 to 1937 at the Italian film school Centro sperimentale di cinematografia in Rome. He directed several Italian neorealism films in the 1940s. In 1949 he filmed ''Alarm Bells'' on Ischia, and also shot a separate British version under the title '' Children of Chance''. During the 1950s and 1960s, he became a director of several successful films belonging to the Commedia all'italiana genre, some starring Alberto Sordi. Guglielmo Inglese
Guglielmo Inglese (24 November 1892 – 14 January 1972) was an Italian actor, radio personality and playwright. Life and career Born in Naples into a family of Apulian origins, Inglese debuted on stage as a child actor at 2 years old, and then he was part of some of the most important stage companies of the time, including the one led by Raffaele Viviani in 1920. He abandoned the theater to devote himself to radio, with which he got a large popularity thanks to his comic monologues caricaturing typical Southern stock characters, notably the "peasant from Apulia". He made his cinema debut when he already was mature aged, in 1948, and was mostly cast in character roles in which he reprised his radio repertoire. Vinicio Sofia (13 November 1907 – 30 December 1982) was an Italian actor and voice actor. Biography Born in Corleone, Sofia began his career on screen in 1933 when he made his film debut in '' Black Shirt'' directed by Giovacchino Forzano.
