Ladies' Senior British Open Amateur Championship
The Women's Senior Amateur, also known as the Ladies' Senior British Open Amateur Championship, is a golf tournament organised annually by The R&A. The championship is open to players aged 50 years and over, and was first played in 1981. In 2022 the event was played over 72 holes, having previously been over 54 holes, although it was played over 36 holes up to 1995. In the past 25 years, both Angela Uzielli (1998 and 1999) and Eva Ansgarius (2004 and 2005) have managed to successfully defend their titles. Uzielli won the championship a record six times in the 1990s. The winner is awarded the Clark Trophy, which was presented to the Ladies Golf Union by Linda Clark. Royal Belfast Golf Club
The Royal Belfast Golf Club is located on the southern shores of Belfast Lough at Craigavad in County Down, seven miles from the centre of Belfast. Founded in 1881 the club claims to be the oldest such club in Ireland. The present course was designed by Harry Colt Origins The course was founded at lands at Kinnegar, Holywood in 1881 and granted a Royal Charter by the Prince of Wales, later Edward VII, in 1885. Pat Doran (golfer)
Patrick Doran (born 5 June 1959) is a British rallycross driver of Irish origin, living in Thorverton, Devon. His oldest son, Liam Doran, became a rallycross driver too. Doran, sometimes nicknamed "Plastic Paddy", is a former four-time British Rallycross Champion. Doran was also the runner-up in the European Rallycross Championship in 1992, behind Will Gollop, also from Great Britain. He also raced a Ford RS200 in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Hunstanton Golf Club is an 18-hole members golf club in Norfolk, England which has hosted many of the leading amateur golf tournaments in Britain including the Brabazon Trophy and English Amateur. History The course was first designed in 1891 and was significantly altered in 1907 with the addition of 40 bunkers following designs by James Braid. The club hosted its first senior amateur event hosting the British Ladies Amateur Golf Championship in 1914, and the English Ladies Open in 1922. Following this the club hosted the English Amateur for the first time in 1931. Lewis served as White House Communications Director in the Clinton administration and in senior roles under Hillary Clinton. She is currently the co-chair of the Democratic Majority for Israel. Royal Portrush Golf Club
Royal Portrush Golf Club is a private golf club in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The 36-hole club has two links courses, the Dunluce Links (the championship course) and the Valley Links. The former is one of the courses on the rota of the Open Championship and last hosted the tournament in 2019. In 1951, Royal Portrush first hosted the Open Championship, the oldest of golf's major championships; it was the first Open tournament not held on the island of Great Britain. Royal Dornoch Golf Club is a golf club in Dornoch, Sutherland, Scotland. It is generally referred to as Royal Dornoch. The club has two 18-hole courses: the Championship Course and the Struie Course. The older Championship Course is a links course located on the Dornoch Firth. Royal Dornoch has never hosted any of the modern professional tournaments.
