La Mirada Interior
Andorra participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with the song "La mirada interior" written by Rafael Artesero, Daniel Aragay and Rafa Fernández. The song was performed by Marian van de Wal. The Andorran broadcaster Ràdio i Televisió d'Andorra (RTVA) organised the national final ''Desitja'm sort'' in order to select the Andorran entry for the 2005 contest in Kyiv, Ukraine. The national final took place over three stages and two televised shows, resulting in the selection of Marian van de Wal as the winning artist on 19 December 2004 and "La mirada interior" as the winning song on 22 January 2005. Andorra competed in the semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 19 May 2005. Performing during the show in position 18, "La mirada interior" was not announced among the top 10 entries of the semi-final and therefore did not qualify to compete in the final. Marian Van De Wal
Marian van de Wal (born 21 January 1970, Vianen) is a Dutch-Andorran singer and businesswoman who was the representative of Andorra at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Ukraine. Originally from the Netherlands, Van de Wal runs a small hotel in the Andorran town of L'Aldosa. She entered Eurocasting 2005, and was one of three finalists selected to go to the country's national final. On 18 December 2004, in Andorra La Vella, she won the right to sing for Andorra over Mar Capdevila and Ishtar Ruiz. Then, on 22 January 2005, in Sant Julia de Loria, Van de Wal sang three possible songs to represent Andorra, and one of those songs was to be selected by a mix of SMS vote and a local professional jury. Anna María Agustí Flores (Barcelona, 1 October 1966), known professionally as Nina, is a Spanish singer, vocal coach and actress. Macedonia (officially under the provisional appellation "former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia", abbreviated "FYR Macedonia") participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with the song "Make My Day" written by Dragan Vučić and Branka Kostić. Canillo
Canillo () is one of the parishes of Andorra. Canillo is also the name of the main town of the parish. The parish is considered the religious center of Andorra with the Sanctuary and Chapel of Our Lady of Meritxell, patron saint of Andorra, and contains one of the best-preserved romanesque churches in the Pyrenees, Sant Joan de Caselles.
