La Voz Senior (Mexican TV Series)
''La Voz Senior'' (Spanish for The Voice Senior) is a Mexican reality talent show that premiered on July 15, 2019 on Azteca Uno. It is based on and part of '' The Voice franchise'' created by television producer John de Mol. When TV Azteca the acquired the format of ''La Voz'' in 2019 from Televisa, they announced they would also produce La Voz Senior, for elders over 55. Format The show consists of three phases: Blind audition, Knockout phase, and Finale. Four judges/coaches, all noteworthy recording artists, choose teams of contestants through a blind audition process (6 members in season 1 and 12 members in season 2 y 3). First Phase – The Blind Auditions Each judge has the length of the auditioner's performance (about one minute) to decide if he or she wants that singer on his or her team; if two or more judges want the same singer (as happens frequently), the singer has the final choice of coach. ''La Voz'' (Spanish for ''The Voice'') is a Mexican singing Reality competition, competition television series broadcast on Azteca Uno. The show originally premiered September 11, 2011 on Las Estrellas. It is based on the format of ''The Voice of Holland'' originated in the Netherlands and part of the international franchise ''The Voice (franchise), The Voice'' created by television producer John de Mol. Mexico was the first Spanish-speaking country to adapt this format and the first among 6 globally. The series' first episode scored a rating of 28.2/47.1, surpassing Spanish-language TV series ''La Academia'' rating of 9.6/17. Julio César Álvarez Montelongo (born April 11, 1983), better known as Julión Álvarez (), is a Mexican singer. Álvarez has been nominated for a Grammy Award and two Latin Grammy Awards. La Voz Senior (Mexican Season 2)
The second season of '' La Voz Senior'' premiered in 27 April 2021, on Azteca Uno. Ricardo Montaner, Yahir, and Belinda returned as coaches from the previous season, meanwhile María José joined the coaching panel, replacing Lupillo Rivera. Eddy Vilard joined as the show's host. Coaches Filming for the second season started in late 2020, revealing Ricardo Montaner, Belinda, María José and Yahir as the coaches. But, it wasn't until April 2021 that they were officially confirmed by the broadcaster. The first season of '' La Voz Senior'' premiered on July 15, 2019, on Azteca Uno. Ricardo Montaner, Yahir, Belinda and Lupillo Rivera served as the coaches for this season, just like in the eighth season of '' La Voz''. Jimena Pérez hosted the show. When TV Azteca acquired rights to '' La Voz'' from Televisa, they announced their plan to produce a senior version specifically for individuals aged 60 and over.
