La Resistencia Dios, Patria y Familia (English: ''The Resistance God, Homeland and Family''), commonly known as La Resistencia, is a far-right militant organization that promotes Fujimorism in Peru. History Founding Ultraconservative groups began to emerge in Peru around 2017 when proposals to introduce gender studies to education curricula occurred. La Resistencia was founded in 2018 by Juan José Muñico, a politician of Popular Renewal who had reportedly been involved in the murder of a veteran of the Cenepa War in 1998. The organization began as a platform to support Keiko Fujimori, the daughter of Alberto Fujimori and leader of Popular Force. Fujimori at the time served as the head of the Congress of Peru during the administration of Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, attracting La Resistencia since she held much of the political power in Peru. Keiko Sofía Fujimori Higuchi (; ja, 藤森 恵子, Fujimori Keiko; born 25 May 1975) is a Peruvian politician. Fujimori is the eldest daughter of former Peruvian president Alberto Fujimori and Susana Higuchi. From August 1994 to November 2000, she held the role of First Lady of Peru, during her father's administrations. She has served as the leader of the Fujimorist political party Popular Force since 2010, and was a congresswoman representing the Lima Metropolitan Area, from 2006 to 2011. 2021 Peruvian General Election
General elections were held in Peru on 11 April 2021. The presidential election, which determined the President of Peru, president and the Vice President of Peru, vice presidents, required a run-off between the two top candidates, which was held on 6 June. The congressional elections determined the composition of the Congress of the Republic of Peru, Congress of Peru, with all 130 seats contested. Pedro Castillo, a member of the left-wing Free Peru party, received the most votes in the first round. In the second round he faced Keiko Fujimori, the leader of the right-wing Popular Force who had previously lost the run-offs of the 2011 Peruvian general election, 2011 and the 2016 Peruvian general election, 2016 elections. ''Dialectical Anthropology'' is a Marxist peer-reviewed academic journal of anthropology published by Springer Science+Business Media. It was established in 1975 by Stanley Diamond (New School for Social Research). In its first decade the journal oriented towards post-Vietnam radicalism. Following Diamond's death in 1991, Donald Nonini took the role of acting editor-in-chief for two years. In 1993 Diamond's widow, Marie Josephine Diamond became editor-in-chief. 2020 Peruvian Protests
The 2020 Peruvian protests were a series of demonstrations sparked after the removal of President Martín Vizcarra that took place from 9 November to 17 November 2020. The controversial removal of Vizcarra was recognized as a coup d'état by many Peruvians, political analysts and media outlets in the country. Protests were registered in several cities of the country, to show their outrage at the president's vacancy and reject the inauguration of the president of Congress, Manuel Merino. Upon taking office, Merino formed a far-right government. The protests have been described as the largest demonstrations in Peru in the past two decades and are organized by grassroots groups of young Peruvians on social media. National Solidarity Party ( es, Partido Solidaridad Nacional, PSN), was a conservative Peruvian political party. Founded in 1998 for the 2000 general election to support the candidacy of Luis Castañeda Lossio, a former Lima City Council member from Popular Action. Following the end of Alberto Fujimori's regime, the party formed the National Unity coalition with the Christian People's Party and other minor parties. Led by Lourdes Flores, the coalition placed third at the 2001 and 2006 general elections, while at municipal level, it won the capital city of Lima with Castañeda as the mayoral nominee. Rafael Bernardo López Aliaga Cazorla (born 11 February 1961) is a Peruvian businessman and politician, who is serving as mayor of Lima since 2023. He is currently the leader of Popular Renewal Entering politics late in his career, López Aliaga was elected to Lima's Metropolitan Council, serving under mayor Luis Castañeda Lossio's second term. Martín Alberto Vizcarra Cornejo (; born 22 March 1963) is a Peruvian engineer and politician who served as President of Peru from 2018 to 2020.
