La Comédie Humaine (film)
''La Comédie humaine'' () is a 2010 Hong Kong comedy film directed and written by Chan Hing-ka and Janet Chun. Released in cinemas on 8 July 2010, it premiered at the 31 March 2010 Hong Kong International Film Festival. Plot The story revolves around a Spring (To), a hitman from mainland China who is on a mission in Hong Kong with his partner Setting Sun (Hui). However, Spring falls ill and comes under the care of a screenwriter by the name of Soya (Wong) and they find themselves developing into a tight and everlasting friendship. Chapman To (, born 8 June 1972), born Edward Ng Cheuk-cheung (), is a Hong Kong actor. He is best known for his roles in films such as ''Infernal Affairs'' and '' Initial D''. He is also the founder of his own multimedia platform known as "Chapman To's Late Show". 2022, To officially naturalised in Taiwan. A comedy film is a category of film which emphasizes humor. These films are designed to make the audience laugh through amusement. Films in this style traditionally have a happy ending (black comedy being an exception). Comedy is one of the oldest genres in film and it is derived from the classical comedy in theatre. Some of the earliest silent films were comedies, as slapstick comedy often relies on visual depictions, without requiring sound. The Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF), is one of Asia’s oldest international film festivals. Founded in 1976, the festival features different movies, filmmakers from different countries in Hong Kong. HKIFF screens around 230 films from more than 60 countries in different major cultural venues across the territory every year. New films are featured as gala premieres, with the directors and cast presenting on the red carpet and meet-and-greet sessions in theatres. Benz Hui Shiu-hung (born 4 November 1948) is a Hong Kong film and TV actor. Hui is credited with over 165 films. Hui is a currently a TV actor with TVB. Early life and family Hui comes from an influential family in Canton. His great-grandfather was a godson of Empress Dowager Cixi and served as an imperial official during the late Qing dynasty.
