"La Cima del Cielo" ( en, italic=yes, The Highest Point of the Sky) is a song performed by Venezuelan singer-songwriter Ricardo Montaner. It was written by Montaner and co-written and produced by Pablo Manavello and released in late 1989 as the lead single from his third studio album '' Un Toque de Misterio'' (1989). The song became the first number-one single for the singer in the ''Billboard'' Top Latin Songs chart in January 1990. The song was re-recorded by Montaner in 1999 with a new musical arrangement, and it was included on the setlist of his album ''Ricardo Montaner con la London Metropolitan Orchestra'' which was produced by Bebu Silvetti. Alejandro Federico Lerner (born June 8, 1957) is an Argentine musician and singer-songwriter. He has written and sung countless songs including several hits, and his fame and recognition spread all over South America. Through his career, Lerner played in different bands, formed his own group, and worked with international artists such as Luis Miguel, Paul Anka, and Celine Dion. Rodven Records was a Venezuelan record label that belonged to the Cisneros family owned ODC Group, then proprietors of one of the largest TV networks in the country, Venevision. They also owned a nationwide AM radio network (RadioVision, which later expanded into the FM realm as FM Center) and a record stores chain (DiscoCenter), thus serving as a channel for those artists who belonged to the roster of either of those companies (mostly signed to Venevision). "Lambada", also known as "Chorando Se Foi (Lambada)" or "Llorando Se Fue (Lambada)" (both meaning 'crying, he/she went away' in Portuguese and Spanish, respectively), is a song by French-Brazilian pop group Kaoma. It featured guest vocals by Brazilian vocalist Loalwa Braz, and was released as the first single from Kaoma's debut album, '' Worldbeat'' (1989). The accompanying music video, filmed on Cocos beach in the city of Trancoso, in the state of Bahia, Brazil featured the Brazilian child duo Chico & Roberta. Kaoma
Kaoma was a French-Brazilian band formed in 1988 by Loalwa Braz (lead vocals), Chyco Dru (bass), Jacky Arconte (guitar), Jean-Claude Bonaventure (keyboard), Michel Abihssira (drums and percussion) and Fania (backing vocals). Dru is from Martinique, Arconte from Guadeloupe, and Braz from Brazil.
