La Bella Vita
''La bella vita'' is a 1994 Italian comedy drama film. The film premiered at the 51st Venice International Film Festival.Edoardo Pittalis, Roberto Pugliese, ''Bella di Notte'', August 1996. It is the debut film of Paolo Virzì, who won the David di Donatello for Best New Director and the Nastro d'Argento in the same category. Plot Bruno and Mirella get married in 1989 and live in the little town of Piombino. Their life seems to be blissful. Suddenly Bruno is out of a job, and the financial pressure creates a wedge between husband and wife. This is when Mirella gets attached to a local tv idol, Gerry Fumo. A forbidden love affair between Mirella and Gerry starts. As a result complications between the married couple arise and they separate. Mirella and Gerry become a couple and start living together. Paolo Virzì
Paolo Virzì (; born 4 March 1964) is an Italian film director, writer and producer. Early life and work Virzì was born in Livorno, Italy in 1964, as the son of a Sicily#Demographics, Sicilian police officer in the Carabinieri and a former singer. After spending his early childhood in Turin in the north of Italy, Virzì's family moved back to Livorno where he grew up in the working class area of "Le Sorgenti". As a small boy, he started to cultivate his lifelong passion for literature: Mark Twain and Charles Dickens were among his favourite authors and their classic "coming of age" novels would later serve as a model for his screenplays. As a teenager, Virzì's versatility was already in evidence as he threw himself into writing, directing and acting in plays for drama companies in Livorno. Francesco Bruni (screenwriter)
Francesco Bruni (born 30 September 1961) is an Italian screenwriter and director. Life and career Born in Rome, Bruni started his professional career as a screenwriter in 1991, for the film ''Condominio''. In 1994 he started a long collaboration with director Paolo Virzì with Virzì's debut film ''La bella vita''. In 2011 Bruni made his directorial debut with '' Easy!'', which got him the David di Donatello for Best New Director as well as the Silver Ribbon in the same category. Bruni teaches screenwriting at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. He is the father of rapper and singer Side Baby. The David di Donatello Awards, named after Donatello's ''David'', a symbolic statue of the Italian Renaissance, are film awards given out each year by the ''Accademia del Cinema Italiano'' (The Academy of Italian Cinema).
