Latrobe City Stadium
Latrobe City Stadium is a multi purpose sport stadium located in Morwell, Victoria, Australia. Opened in 1991, today it is the home ground of the Falcons 2000 SC in the Latrobe Valley Soccer League, and is used for association football, soccer, rugby league and rugby union. It was previously the home ground of the defunct Gippsland Falcons during their tenure in the National Soccer League, and briefly in the National Premier Leagues Victoria, Victoria Premier League. The Melbourne Rising rugby union club previously hosted a number of National Rugby Championship matches at the stadium. The stadium is also the headquarters of the Gippsland Cricket League and features Football Federation Victoria approved lights, a function room and bar and a soccer shop. 2026 Commonwealth Games
The 2026 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XXIII Commonwealth Games and commonly known as Victoria 2026, is a multi-sport event for members of the Commonwealth scheduled to take place across four regional sites in the Australian state of Victoria: Geelong, Bendigo, Ballarat and Gippsland. Rugby sevens has been played at every Commonwealth Games since its first appearance at the 1998 edition held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Rugby sevens was an optional sport that was included for 2002 and 2006; it was then made a 'Core' sport by the Commonwealth Games Federation, necessitating its appearance at all future games from the 2010 Games onward. Mate Dugandzic ( hr, Mate Dugandžić; born 22 October 1989) is a retired Australian football player. He is known for being the first player to make a direct switch between both Melbourne clubs in the A-League when he moved from Melbourne Victory to join Melbourne Heart in 2011.
