LaSalle station is a commuter rail station operated by Exo in the borough of LaSalle in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It opened September 4th, 2001. It is served by the Candiac line, and is the last station on the island of Montreal. It is located in ARTM fare zone A. LaSalle Station (Montreal Metro)
LaSalle station is a Montreal Metro station in the borough of Verdun, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is operated by the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) and serves the Green Line. The station opened on September 3, 1978, as part of the extension of the Green Line westward to Angrignon station. Architecture and art Designed by Didier, Gillon et Larouche, it is a normal side platform station with one ticket hall and access. The platform and mezzanine walls are enlivened by large, irregular concrete planes painted in bright colours, designed by Michèle Tremblay-Gillon, while a stainless-steel mural by Peter Gnass above the ticket hall reflects sunlight and passengers' movements. Origin of the name This station is named for nearby LaSalle Boulevard, named for explorer Robert Cavelier de La Salle (1643–1687), who founded the town of Lachine and claimed Louisiana for France. LaSalle is an 'L' station on the CTA's Blue Line. It is a subway station with a single island platform located at 150 West Ida B. Wells Drive in the Loop district of Chicago, Illinois. History LaSalle station opened on February 25, 1951, as the southern terminal of the Milwaukee-Dearborn subway on the CTA's Milwaukee Avenue route. LaSalle Street Station is a commuter rail terminal at 414 South LaSalle Street in downtown Chicago. First used as a rail terminal in 1852, it was a major intercity rail terminal for the New York Central Railroad until 1968, and for the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad until 1978, but now serves only Metra's Rock Island District. The present structure became the fifth station on the site when its predecessor was demolished in 1981 and replaced by the new station and the One Financial Place (now 425 South Financial Place) tower for the Chicago Stock Exchange. LaSalle/Van Buren Station
LaSalle/Van Buren is a Chicago "L" station in downtown Chicago serving the CTA's Brown, Orange, Pink, and Purple Lines. LaSalle/Van Buren is one of the eight stations in the Loop. The station opened on October 3, 1897. LaSalle Street Station, terminal for Metra's Rock Island District trains, is less than a block from the station. The station is seen in the 1986 film '' Running Scared'' with Gregory Hines and Billy Crystal. All of the surroundings, including the platforms and the station, are still the same now as they are in the movie. The station was also a location in one of the final scenes of the 1987 film '' Planes, Trains and Automobiles'' with Steve Martin and John Candy. Peru–LaSalle Station
Peru – LaSalle station was a Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad station situated between the towns of Peru and LaSalle, Illinois. The station building—which still exists as a lawn and garden center—is located on the north side of the track, on 1st Street. LaSalle/Peru was the original eastern terminus of the Rock Island Line, as it first traveled from Rock Island, Illinois to connect with the Illinois and Michigan Canal.
