Giorgia Lupi is an Italian information designer, a partner at design firm Pentagram, and co-founder of research and design firm Accurat. She is a co-author of Dear Data, a collection of hand drawn data visualizations, along with information designer Stefanie Posavec. Her work is also part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art. Early life and education Lupi was born 1981 in Italy. Lupi, officially the Municipality of Lupi ( bcl, Banwaan kan Lupi; tl, Bayan ng Lupi), is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Camarines Sur, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 33,897 people. Lupi is from Pili and from Manila. History Lupi, in the first district of the province, was branded as a "travelling poblacion" as it had been transferred several times when it was a small settlement during Spanish rule. On 17 October 1726, however, the Spanish government under the administration of Governor General Marquéz de Torrecampo who was also the titular head of the Diocese of Caceres, issued a decree making Lupi a separate town. Maurizio Lupi (born 3 October 1959) is an Italian politician. He served as minister of infrastructure and transport between 28 April 2013 and 20 March 2015. Early life and education Lupi was born in Milan, Italy, on 3 October 1959. He has a degree in political science at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. Career Lupi served as a member of the municipal council of Milan from 1993 to 1997 and until 1996 he was vice president of the council. He has been a member of the Italian parliament since the XIV legislative period or 2001. Darrin Zammit Lupi (born 1968) is a Maltese photographer and journalist. Biography Zammit Lupi was born in 1968 in Malta. He began his career as a photographer with The Malta Independent newspaper in 1992, but shortly thereafter became a freelance photographer. He studied at the University of the Arts London from which he earned a master's degree in Photojournalism and Documentary photography. Roberto Lupi
Roberto Lupi (28 November 1908 – 17 April 1971) was an Italian composer, conductor, and music theorist. Born in Milan and trained at the conservatory there, he began his conducting career in 1937. His compositions of experimental music included large-scale works for chorus and orchestra, chamber music, and stage works. However, Lupi's most widely heard piece was his ' for oboe (or, sometimes, trumpet), harp and strings which was played each night from 1954 to 1986 at the close of RAI television transmissions. He held the chair in composition at the Florence Conservatory from 1941 until his death and published three books on music theory, the last of them posthumously. From the 1950s his theoretical approach and his compositions, especially his stage works, were strongly influenced by the ideas of Rudolf Steiner. Francisco Lupi (March 6, 1920 – January 14, 1954) was a Portuguese chess master. In January 1940, he lost a game to Alexander Alekhine in Estoril (it was a blindfold simultaneous display, Alekhine played blindfold against eight of the best Portuguese players). In February 1940, he drew a game with Alekhine in Estoril (simultaneous display). Lupi was a noted Portuguese player during World War II. Giovanni Lupi, commonly known as Nino, (24 December 1908 – 20 November 1990) was a Swiss footballer who played in the 1920s and 1930s. He played as midfielder. Football career From 1925 Lupi played for FC Chiasso who at that time played in the Serie B, the second tier of Swiss football. Following the 1926–27 season Chiasso won promotion to the Serie A. In 1929 Lupi was called up for the Swiss national team. He played his debut for them on 6 October in the away game against Czechoslovakia. Jean Leleu, most commonly known by the latinized version of his name, Johannes Lupi (c. 1506 – December 20, 1539), was a Franco-Flemish composer of the Renaissance. A representative of the generation after Josquin, he was a minor but skilled composer of polyphony who was mainly active in Cambrai. Life His birthplace is unknown, but he served in Cambrai as a choirboy. He lived in Cambrai most of his life, only leaving to attend the university in Leuven, where he was present from 1522 until 1526. In 1527 he became master of the choirboys at the Cambrai Cathedral, a position which typically included housing and boarding them in addition to teaching them music. Several times he was fired from his job, but always re-hired again, usually for failing to discipline his charges but also for poor bookkeeping.
