''LP5'' is the untitled fifth studio album by English electronic music duo Autechre, released on 13 July 1998 on Warp. No title was printed anywhere within the artwork, in line with the later EP ''EP7''; it has also been called ''Autechre'', as well as ''Album'', as listed on promotional copies. With the album, Autechre began abandoning the considerably warm and organic sounds of earlier albums like ''Amber'' in favor of a fine-tuned, technical style they had begun exploring on '' Chiastic Slide'' and the ''Cichlisuite'' EP, while also incorporating influences from electroacoustic music. ''Cichlisuite'' is the sixth EP by electronic music duo Autechre, released on August 26, 1997 by Warp Records. The EP was simultaneously released on CD and as two 12” records, all with unique cover art by The Designers Republic. ''Cichlisuite'' is Autechre's third release of 1997, following ''Chiastic Slide'' and the ''Envane ''Envane'' is the fifth EP by British electronic music duo Autechre, released by Warp Records on 27 January 1997. ''Chiastic Slide'' is the fourth studio album by the British electronic music group Autechre, released 17 February 1997 by Warp Records. The album saw the duo continue to move further away from the ambient techno sound of their early releases, employing harsher, glitchier beats. Though not initially met with the same critical acclaim as ''Tri Repetae'' or ''LP5'', ''Chiastic Slide'' was eventually recognized by critics as an innovative and "enormously influential" album. Release ''Chiastic Slide'' was released on 17 February 1997. It did not receive a release in the United States until Warp Records began distributing its own releases there in 2001. The Ensoniq ASR-10 was a sampling keyboard produced by Ensoniq between 1992 and 1998. The ASR-10 was a follow up product to the very popular Ensoniq EPS and Ensoniq EPS-16+ performance samplers, and was also available with a piano style weighted keyboard (ASR-88) and a rackmount version (ASR-10R). At the time, the machine was one of the most powerful samplers available.
