Badalona Dracs
The Badalona Dracs (, "Badalona Dragons") are a gridiron football team based in Badalona, Catalonia. History Three American football enthusiasts got together in Badalona on a December 1987's evening to found the team. They were Pere Moliner, first president of the team, Ramón Ventura and Italian Alfonso Genchi. The team was founded as Badalona Drags. Just a few months later, the team was established and the first ever American football game played in Spain was set for March 19th, 1988. Badalona Dracs played Palermo Cardinals (Italy), with a score of 18–12 for the Italians. Later on, the first organized league in Spain was created with the Dracs joining three other teams, L'Hospitalet Pioners, Barcelona Búfals and the defunct Barcelona Boxers. L'Hospitalet Pioners
The L'Hospitalet Pioners (; "L'Hospitalet Pioneers") are a gridiron football team based in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Catalonia (Spain). Valencia Firebats
The Valencia Firebats are a gridiron team based in Valencia, Valencian Community (Spain). History The team was established in April, 1993, as Valencia Bats, joining the defunct ''American Football League (AFL)'' for the 1994 season. The following season a new national league is created in Spain, divided in two divisions, First and Second. Valencia Bats are invited to compete in the First Division, where they have been playing ever since. In the 2002 season, the team makes his first appearance in the EFAF Cup, in the same group with Badalona Dracs (Spain) and Ostia Marines (Italy). 2006 was a remarkable season, as the team won their first national bowl, beating L'Hospitalet Pioners and qualifying for the first time for the European Football League, where they met Bergamo Lions (Italy) and Tirol Raiders (Austria) in the 2007 season. Rivas Osos (''Rivas Bears'' in English language) is an American football team based in Rivas-Vaciamadrid, Community of Madrid (Spain). They have won the LNFA twice, in 2001 and 2022, and were runners-up in 1999, 2002, 2012 and 2023. They have also conquered the Spanish Cup in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2007 and 2009. History The beginnings The team was established in the spring of 1989 as ''Madrid Bears'', changing names to ''Madrid Osos'' when they joined their first official competition by the end of that year, the Second Catalan Football League. Gijón Mariners
Gijón Mariners is an American football team based in Gijón, Asturias (Spain). History The team was established in 2001 by a group of players of flag football at the beach. They joined the Spanish league for the 2006 season, and got included on the Western Conference of the LNFA 2. They played their first game ever on that competition February 19, 2006, against Zaragoza Hurricanes with a score against of 60–6. On their second season, again in the LNFA 2, they qualified for the play-offs and only lost on the last round (semi-finals) for the championship bowl. The success of the merchandise finally made it possible to reach the top competition, the LNFA, on the 2008 season. Sevilla Linces ('' Seville Lynxes'' in English language) is an American football team based in Seville, Andalusia ( Spain). History The team has an interesting history as they were founded by three fans (Antonio Cornejo Dueñas, Santiago Vega García and Basilio Parrado Parrado ) brought together by an advertisement published in a football magazine called ''100 yards'' asking for people to play football for fun.
