LGBT representation in children's television is representation of LGBT topics, themes, and people in television programming meant for children. LGBT representation in children's programming was often uncommon to non-existent for much of television's history up to the 2010s, but has significantly increased since then. ''Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts'' is an animated science fantasy action television series created by Radford Sechrist and developed by Bill Wolkoff, adapted from Sechrist's 2015 webcomic ''Kipo''. Michael Dante DiMartino (born July 18, 1974) is an American animator, producer, writer, and director. He is best known, together with Bryan Konietzko, as the co-creator of the animated TV series '' Avatar: The Last Airbender'' and ''The Legend of Korra'', both on Nickelodeon. Career Before ''Avatar'', DiMartino worked for twelve years at Film Roman, helping to direct ''King of the Hill'', ''Family Guy'' and '' Mission Hill'', in addition to his own animated short, ''Atomic Love'', which was screened at a number of high-profile film festivals.
