LA Song (Out Of This Town)
"LA Song" (subtitled "LA Song (Out of This Town)" on the single release) is a song by American singer-songwriter Beth Hart, released as the first single from her second album, ''Screamin' for My Supper'', on July 20, 1999. While it reached only 90 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100, it was an Adult Top 40 top-10 hit and reached No. 1 in New Zealand in February 2000. Lyrical content An alternate edit of the song on the US CD single replaces the lyric "She's got a gun / She's got a gun / She got a gun she call 'the lucky one'" with "She's so ashamed / She's so ashamed / She know heaven don't want her anyway". Beth Hart (born January 24, 1972) is an American musician from Los Angeles, California. She rose to fame with the release of her 1999 single " LA Song (Out of This Town)" from her second album ''Screamin' for My Supper''. The single was a number one hit in New Zealand, as well as reaching the top 5 of the US Adult Contemporary and Top 10 on the ''Billboard'' Adult Top 40 charts. Hart has had several well received collaborations with guitarist Joe Bonamassa, beginning in 2011 with '' Don't Explain'', followed with the Grammy-nominated ''Seesaw'' (2013) and '' Live in Amsterdam'' (2014), the latter of which topped the Billboard Blues Album Chart, a chart that she has topped six times. It started as an independent trade from 1973 to 2006 until VNU Media took over in 2006 and became a relaunched sister trade to '' Billboard'', until its final issue in 2009. 143 Records was the record label of producer David Foster. 143 was a sub-label of Warner Records and Atlantic Records. The numbers 1-4-3 are derived from the words "I (1 letter) love (4 letters) you (3 letters)." History When record producer David Foster signed a deal with Warner Bros. in 1995, it enabled him to start 143 Records. Foster gave the responsibility for running the label to manager Brian Avnet. One of the label's first signing was Irish folk-rock band The Corrs. In 1997 Foster and Avnet concluded "logo labels" like 143 were in a "bad spot". Foster sold the label back to Warner and then became senior vice-president at the corporation. On September 20, 2001, Warner Music Group announced it was shutting down the label. Atlantic Recording Corporation (simply known as Atlantic Records) is an American record label founded in October 1947 by Ahmet Ertegun and Herb Abramson.
