''L'un n'empêche pas l'autre'' is the eighteenth album by experimental French singer Brigitte Fontaine, released in 2011 on the Polydor/ Universal label. Like ''Kékéland ''Kékéland'' is the fourteenth album by experimental French singer Brigitte Fontaine, released in 2001 on the Virgin Records label. It is almost entirely composed of collaborations. Fontaine exceptionally wrote two songs in English (''Kékéla ...'' in 2001, it is mostly an album featuring duets. There are only four originals, the other songs are new recordings of rarities and older songs. Brigitte Fontaine, (born 24 June 1939) is a singer of avant-garde music. She has employed numerous unusual musical styles, melding rock and roll, folk, jazz, electronica, spoken word poetry, and world. Arnold Charles Ernest Hintjens (21 May 1949 – 23 April 2022), better known by his stage name Arno, was a Belgian singer. He was the frontman of TC Matic, one of the best-known Belgian bands of the 1980s. After the band split in 1986 he enjoyed a solo career.
