''L'insegnante va in collegio'' (internationally released as ''The Schoolteacher Goes to Boys' High'' and ''The School Teacher in College'') is a 1977 commedia sexy all'italiana directed by Mariano Laurenti. The film is the second in the "Schoolteacher" film series. Plot A commander of northern Italy is embroiled in a shady deal, and is forced to flee to Apulia. There, the man falls in love with his son's beautiful teacher: Monica Sebastiani. The son, however, loves also Monica Sebastiani, and so comes into the fight with his father. Mariano Laurenti
Mariano Laurenti (15 April 1929 – 6 January 2022) was an Italian film director and actor. Career He started as a script supervisor and later became an assistant director for, among others, Mauro Bolognini and Stefano Vanzina. He directed 50 films between 1966 and 1999, being mainly active in the "commedia sexy all'italiana" genre. Laurenti died in Gubbio on 6 January 2022, at the age of 92. Carlo Sposito (1 May 1924 – 9 September 1984) was an Italian character actor, sometimes credited as Carletto Sposito. Born in Palermo, he was among the most active actors in the post-war Italian genre cinema. He was also pretty active on stage, radio and television. He died at 60 of myocardial infarction, in Rome. The commedia sexy all'italiana (, lit. "sex comedy Italian style"), also known as commedia scollacciata or commedia erotica all'italiana, is a subgenre of Italian ''commedia all'italiana'' film genre. Style ''Commedia sexy'' is characterized typically by both abundant female nudity and comedy, and by the minimal weight given to social criticism that was the basic ingredient of the main ''commedia all'italiana'' genre. Stories are often set in affluent environments such as wealthy households. It is closely connected to the sexual revolution, and it was something extremely new and innovative for that period. For the first time, films with female nudity could be watched at the cinema. Pornography and scenes of explicit sex were still forbidden in Italian cinemas, but partial nudity was somewhat tolerated. Gianfranco D'Angelo (19 August 1936 – 15 August 2021) was an Italian actor and comedian. Biography Born in Rome, D'Angelo started his career as a comedian in the mid-1960s, achieving his first successes with the theatrical company "Il Bagaglino". His career was launched in the mid-1970s, with a series of successful variety shows such as ''Mazzabubù'', ''C'era una volta Roma'', ''La Sberla'', and reached its peak in the following decade, with '' Drive In'', ''Odiens'' and '' Striscia la notizia''. Lino Banfi (born Pasquale Zagaria; 9 July 1936) is an Italian film actor and presenter. He has appeared in more than 100 films since 1960. Biography He was born in the Apulian city of Andria and at the age of three, moved to Canosa di Puglia. Lino Banfi became one of the most well-known actors in Italian "sexy comedies" in the 1970s.
