L'imbranato
''L'imbranato'' (''The bumbling man'') is a 1979 Italian comedy film written and directed by Pier Francesco Pingitore. Plot Pippo Sperandio is an employee of an Italian electronics company in direct contact with his boss, the pleasure-seeker Dr. Maramotti, who never misses an opportunity to have relationships with different types of women including Laura, his secretary. However, when he needs to be replaced during a holiday in Sardinia he calls and sends Pippo Sperandio to his place who - as Doctor Maramotti - will have to deal with a hectic holiday full of sport and goliardic parties, typical of the tourist villages of those years, which he is not used to. Vincenzo "Enzo" Cannavale (5 April 1928 – 18 March 2011) was an Italian film actor. He appeared in more than 100 films since 1949, including ''Cinema Paradiso'', which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 62nd Academy Awards in 1990. Laura Troschel (3 November 1944 – 29 September 2016) was an Italian actress, singer and model. Life and career Born in Varese, Troschel made her debut in cinema in a role of weight in ''The Sex of Angels'' (1968), by Ugo Liberatore. Later, she appeared in some movies as Constanza Spada, until she became the wife of comedian Pippo Franco and resumed her original name. Alessandro Alessandroni (18 March 1925 – 26 March 2017) was an Italian musician and composer. He played multiple instruments, including the guitar, mandolin, mandolincello, sitar, accordion and piano, and composed more than 40 film scores and countless library music. Biography Alessandroni collaborated with his childhood friend Ennio Morricone on a number of soundtracks for Spaghetti Westerns. Morricone's orchestration often calls for an unusual combination of instruments, voices, and whistling. Alessandroni's twangy guitar riff is central to the main theme for ''The Good, the Bad and the Ugly''. Franco Lechner, best known as Bombolo (22 May 1931 – 21 August 1987), was an Italian character actor and comedian. Life and career Born in Rome into a humble family, a former peddler of dishes, Lechner was discovered in a tavern by Franco Castellacci and Pierfrancesco Pingitore, who entered him in their cabaret company "Il Bagaglino". He got a large popularity in cinema as the sidekick of Tomas Milian in a successful series of half-serious poliziottesco films directed by Bruno Corbucci. He was also partner of Enzo Cannavale in a number of comedy films. He died at age 56 as a result of complications following a major surgical operation. Duilio Del Prete (25 June 1938 – 2 February 1998) was an Italian actor, dubber and singer-songwriter. Del Prete was born at Cuneo, Piedmont. As a singer-songwriter, he wrote political songs and recorded an album of Jacques Brel's covers; he also wrote songs for several artists. As an actor, he participated to several films of the ''commedia all'italiana'', including '' My Friends'' and ''Alfredo, Alfredo'', both by Pietro Germi, and '' Sessomatto''. Oreste Lionello (18 April 1927 – 19 February 2009) was an Italian actor and voice actor. Biography Lionello was born in Rhodes (which was then a possession of Italy), to Calabrian parents, and grew up in Reggio Calabria. He began his career as a theatre actor, and was considered amongst the founders of Italian cabaret. In 1953 he entered the Musical Theatrical Company of RAI (Italian state TV) and the following year he debuted in television with ''Marziano Filippo'', a boys' show. In the 1960s, he was one of the founders of the Bagaglino comic theatre and TV company and he had found success as an entertainer on Italian TV in the 1970s and 1980s. Pippo Franco (pseudonym of Franco Pippo) was born 2 September 1940 and is an Italian actor, comedian, television presenter, and singer. He made his name first as a musician in the early 1960s, and in the late 1960s began a career in film, starring in a great number of ''commedia sexy all'italiana'', the "sexy comedy" subgenre of Italian comedy. In the 1970s he expanded into television, acting in TV movies and presenting variety shows. His type of comedy borrows heavily from cabaret.
