L'Trimm
L'Trimm was a Miami bass hip-hop duo composed of Bunny D and Lady Tigra. Originally from Coconut Grove, Florida (origin neighborhood of the City of Miami), they recorded three albums for Atlantic Records: ''Grab It!'' in 1988 (which is certified Gold by the RIAA), ''Drop That Bottom'' in 1989 (which led ''The Source'' to name the group Hip-Hop Goddesses of the Month), and ''Groovy'' in 1991. Group history The group took its new name from a then-popular designer brand of blue jeans (Trim) and added the L' prefix to give it a French feel. Grab It!
''Grab It!'' is the debut album by the American hip hop duo L'Trimm, released in 1988. It was originally released by Time-X Records before being licensed to Atlantic Records. The album peaked at No. 132 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200. "Cars with the Boom" (also known as "Cars That Go Boom") peaked at No. 54 on the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100. ''Grab It!'' sold almost a million copies, reaching certified Gold by the RIAA. Production The album was produced by Larry Davis, for Paul Klein's Hot Productions. The tracks were constructed around synthesizers and 808 drums, per the Miami bass sound. "Grab It" was written as a cheeky answer record to Salt-N-Pepa's "Push It (Salt-n-Pepa song), Push It". Pinkberry
Pinkberry is a franchise of frozen dessert restaurants headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona. There are currently over 260 stores in 20 countries. The first store was opened in January 2005 by Hye Kyung (Shelly) Hwang and Young Lee. The restaurant allows customers to customize their yogurt with a variety of toppings. History Hwang's first business venture was to open a formal English teahouse on a tiny residential street called Huntley Drive in West Hollywood, California. However, after the city refused to approve an alcohol permit for Hwang and her business partner, architect Young Lee, they decided to go with their second plan, which was a frozen yogurt concept reviving the craze of the 1980s. Tuff Crew
Tuff Crew is a hip hop group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, dubbed "Philly's first Rap Supergroup". Members include Ice Dog, L. A. Kid, Tone Love, Monty G, and DJ Too Tuff. Career They released four albums. Their joint debut LP with The Krown Rulers from Camden, New Jersey included production by the Ultramagnetic MCs' Kool Keith and Ced Gee, with a style that was bass-heavy with the Roland TR-808 drum machine and E-mu SP-12 sampler, raw "street" lyrics and aggressive scratch DJing. They performed with Public Enemy, Run–D.M.C., Biz Markie, Big Daddy Kane, Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock, LL Cool J, and many others. ''Yo Gabba Gabba!'' is a children's musical television series created by Christian Jacobs and Scott Schultz. The series is about five costumed toys come-to-life and their friend DJ Lance Rock ( Lance Robertson). It is co-produced by Magic Store Productions and WildBrain.
