L'Age D'Or (record Label)
L’Age d’Or was a German independent music label based in Hamburg, which has played an important role in creating the Hamburger Schule and was the parent label of Ladomat 2000. The label was founded in 1988 by Carol von Rautenkranz and Kolossale Jugend guitarist Pascal Fuhlbrügge, who together had already been organizing concerts in the post- NDW music scene of Hamburg for some time. They were joined by Thorsten "Taucher" Weßel from the band Ostzonensuppenwürfelmachenkrebs, who later became a co-owner. Fuhlbrügge left the label in 1993. In 1994 Ladomat 2000 was launched by Charlotte Goltermann as a sublabel to also release electronic music. Both labels went out of business in 2007. The releases on L'Age D'Or were formative for the Hamburger Schule. Ladomat 2000 reflected this scene's growing interest in rave, techno and house music. Stella (band)
Stella was formed in Joensuu, Finland in 2002. The band quickly managed a deal with Sony Records and released their first album ''Kuuntelija'' in 2004. The album only became a modest seller and soon after the band was moved to Elements Music label. Success came to the band after Katri Ylander, a contestant on the ''Idols (Finland), Idols'', performed a cover of "Piste." from Stella's first album. This led Stella in to the media and popularity as both the music press and public waited for their second release. The second album, ''Pelkääjän Paikalla'', was released in 2006, debuting at number 5 on Finnish album charts. In April 2008 Stella released their third album, ''Löytäjä Saa Pitää'', and topped at number three on national album charts. Queen of Japan is a German music group, music trio from Munich, Germany, known for its synthpop sound and cover song, cover versions of Hit single, hits from the 1970s and 1980s. Career Queen of Japan's 1999 debut EP ''Mercury Rising'' (a reference to Freddie Mercury) features New wave music, new wave-sounding versions of Queen (band), Queen songs and is probably the basis for the group's name. The trio's versions of "I Love Rock 'n' Roll" and "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy" (originally hits for Joan Jett and Rod Stewart, respectively) appear on several different compilation CDs. Their version of "I Was Made for Loving You" (a hit for Kiss (band), KISS) was featured on the award-winning short movie ''Icicle melt'' starring Greta Scacchi.
