L. Bhoominathan is an Indian film editor who works in Malayalam cinema. He has been credited with editing 115 films to date. He has won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Editor three times. His most noteworthy works include Ninnishtam Ennishtam, His Highness Abdullah, Bharatham, Aaram Thamburan and Narashimham. He worked in most of the films of the directors Sibi Malayil, Shaji Kailas and Ranjith. He was one of the jury members of 50th Kerala State Film Awards. Ranjith Balakrishnan (born 5 September 1964) is an Indian film director, screenwriter, lyricist, producer, and actor who works in Malayalam cinema. Ranjith made his directorial debut in 2001 with ''Ravanaprabhu'', the sequel to ''Devaasuram''. ''Vaasthavam'' () is a 2006 Indian Malayalam-language romantic political crime drama film written by Babu Janardhanan and directed by M. Padmakumar. The Kerala State Film Awards are the film awards for a motion picture made in Kerala. The awards started in 1969 by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala and since 1998 the awards have been bestowed by Kerala State Chalachitra Academy on behalf of the Department of Cultural Affairs.
