Pop Music
Pop music is a genre of popular music that originated in its modern form during the mid-1950s in the United States and the United Kingdom. The terms ''popular music'' and ''pop music'' are often used interchangeably, although the former describes all music that is popular and includes many disparate styles. During the 1950s and 1960s, pop music encompassed rock and roll and the youth-oriented styles it influenced. ''Rock'' and ''pop'' music remained roughly synonymous until the late 1960s, after which ''pop'' became associated with music that was more commercial, ephemeral, and accessible. Although much of the music that appears on record charts is considered to be pop music, the genre is distinguished from chart music. Identifying factors usually include repeated choruses and hooks, short to medium-length songs written in a basic format (often the verse-chorus structure), and rhythms or tempos that can be easily danced to. Much pop music also borrows elements from other styles ...

L'Écrasement De Tête
L'Écrasement de tête (Head Crush) is the first street album by the Sexion d'Assaut collective (not taking into account the discography of the 3rd Prototype, the internal group of the Sexion d'Assaut). La Sexion d'Assaut was made up of the 3rd Prototype group and solo artists: Black M, Doomams, Balistik and L.I.O (Balistik and L.I.O, however, did not make the slightest appearance on the street album). Lefa said in a magazine in 2009 that the 3rd Prototype did not exist since the release of The Head Crush, therefore the Sexion D'Assaut is a band in its own right and no longer a collective. It was released on May 4, 2009 on Because Music. This disc will be the first to experience significant success, and really increase the group's notoriety among the general public. The title "T'es bête ou quoi ?" appears on the soundtrack of the film Ong-Bak 2. The album has sold over 45,000 copies. This street album allows them to start their first tour with many dates all over France in full ...

Désolé (Sexion D'Assaut Song)
"Désolé" (English: "Sorry") is a single from Sexion d'Assaut which appeared in the album ''L'École des points vitaux'' released on 12 April 2010. In the music video "Plus qu'un son", we learn that the single has sold more than 200,000 copies. The song reached number one on the SNEP and became a top-ten hit in France and then the song stayed number one for seven weeks from 2 May to 13 June. Désolé is a gold single. Background and writing Gims, as usual, had several melodies on his cell phone. Among other things, he had that of Désolé. He played it for the composer of the group Wisla, then played it on the piano. He keeps the instrumental, telling himself that he would put it on a mixtape and add shots to it from behind. He played the instrumental to Black M, Barack Adama and Dawala. Black M called Gims crazy and came up with an idea to improve the product. He wanted Lefa, Gims, Black M and Barack Adama to each pose an 8 bar verse that would be separated from each other ...
