Kōya O Aruke
is a song by Japanese rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation. It was released on March 29, 2017 and was used as the theme song for the 2017 anime film, ''Night Is Short, Walk On Girl''. Yūsuke Nakamura (illustrator), Yūsuke Nakamura, the illustrator for all of the band's artwork, is also the person in charge of the original character design for the movie. Music video The music video for "Kōya o Aruke" was directed by Nakamura Hiroki. The video features a girl walk around the city at midnight until morning, with the band appear on her back as projection screen. Asian Kung-Fu Generation
(stylized as ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION) is a Japanese alternative rock band formed in Yokohama in 1996. For its entire career, the band has consisted of vocalist Masafumi Gotoh, guitarist Kensuke Kita, bassist Takahiro Yamada, and drummer Kiyoshi Ijichi. Starting out as a college band, Asian Kung-Fu Generation released a series of independent EPs featuring lyrics mostly sung in English. In 2002, they released their major-label EP debut '' Hōkai Amplifier'', from that point singing their lyrics in Japanese. The band's musical style is influenced by seminal Western alternative rock acts as well as their own local Japanese indie-rock and punk scene. The Oricon Singles Chart is the Japanese music industry-standard singles popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Chart rankings are based on physical singles' sales. Until 2017, Oricon did not track download sales. In Japan, physical sales decreased sharply in the 2000s, while download sales hit three to four times the amount of single sales. In November 2017, Oricon introduced its first digital songs chart, separate from its main physical singles chart.
