Kōji Morimoto
is a Japanese anime director. Some of his works include being an animator in the '' Akira'' film; shorts in ''Robot Carnival'', ''Short Peace'', and ''The Animatrix''; and key animation in anime such as ''Kiki's Delivery Service'', ''City Hunter'', and ''Fist of the North Star''. He is the co-founder of Studio 4°C. He has hosted the independent creative team 'phy' since 2009. Biography Born in Wakayama, Japan, he graduated from the Osaka Designers' college in 1979 and a couple of years later joined the studio Annapuru as an animator for the TV series ''Tomorrow's Joe''. While working there, he saw some animation by Takashi Nakamura in '' Gold Lightan'', an otherwise standard mecha TV series by a rival studio. He was impressed, and it inspired him to quit his job and become a freelance animator. Katsuhiro Otomo
is a Japanese manga artist, screenwriter, animator and film director. He is best known as the creator of '' Akira'', in terms of both the original 1982 manga series and the 1988 animated film adaptation. He was decorated a ''Chevalier'' of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2005, promoted to ''Officier'' of the order in 2014, became the fourth manga artist ever inducted into the American Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 2012, and was awarded the Purple Medal of Honor from the Japanese government in 2013. Otomo later received the Winsor McCay Award at the 41st Annie Awards in 2014 and the 2015 Grand Prix de la ville d'Angoulême, the first manga artist to receive the award. Eternal Family
is a 1997 OVA directed by Koji Morimoto and released by Japanese animation studio, Studio 4°C. The film is about the daily life of a group of six very different strangers who, for scientific purposes, are brainwashed into believing that they are a family. The family is filmed and to recoup scientific expenses the distribution rights for the footage are sold to a television station for broadcast as a domestic soap opera called ''Eternal Family''. The show becomes highly popular in the outside world so when a plumbing disaster results in the family accidentally escaping, the television station and the residents of Champon City spare no expense to retrieve them. The story was written jointly by Morimoto and Dai Sato. ''Eternal Family'' represents Sato's debut as an anime screenwriter, and Morimoto's first foray into the field of broadcast media. Superflat
Superflat is a postmodern art movement, founded by the artist Takashi Murakami, which is influenced by manga and anime. However, superflat doesn't have an explicit definition because Takashi Murakami does not want to limit the movement, but rather leave room for it to grow and evolve over time. Takashi Murakami
is a Japanese contemporary artist.
