Hans Küng
Hans Küng (; 19 March 1928 – 6 April 2021) was a Swiss Catholic priest, theologian, and author. From 1995 he was president of the Foundation for a Global Ethic (Stiftung Weltethos). Küng was ordained a priest in 1954, joined the faculty of the University of Tübingen in 1960, and served as a theological adviser during the Second Vatican Council. In 1978, after he rejected the doctrine of papal infallibility, he was not allowed to continue teaching as a Catholic theologian, but he remained at Tübingen as a professor of ecumenical theology until he retired with the title professor emeritus in 1996. He remained a Catholic priest until his death. He supported the spiritual substance of religion, while questioning traditional dogmatic Christianity. Stefan Küng (born 16 November 1993) is a Swiss cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He is also a citizen of Liechtenstein. Career Küng won the 2015 UCI Track Cycling World Championships – Men's individual pursuit, individual pursuit at the 2015 UCI Track Cycling World Championships, after beating Jack Bobridge in the final. Küng only took the lead in the final . In the 2015 Tour de Romandie, he grabbed the biggest victory of his career at that point in solo fashion. Andres Küng
Andres Küng (September 13, 1945 – December 10, 2002) was a Swedish journalist, writer, entrepreneur and politician of Estonian origin. He was born in Ockelbo in Gävleborg County to a family of refugees from Soviet occupied Estonia. Career Literature As he himself noted, Küng "published more than 50 books, most on the Baltic States, thousands of articles and held innumerable lectures on why Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania should (and would) become independent again." Politics Küng was active in both Swedish politics (member of the People's Party – Liberals) and Estonian and Baltic émigré activities. Patrick Küng
Patrick Küng (born 11 January 1984) is a Swiss former World Cup alpine ski racer. He specialised in the speed events of Downhill and Super G and made his World Cup debut at Wengen in 2009. Küng represented Switzerland at the World Championships in 2013 in Schladming, Austria. After placing 18th in the Super G, he produced his best run of the 2013 season in the downhill, finishing in 7th position. Küng's first World Cup win came in Super G in December 2013, at Beaver Creek, USA. His second came a month later at the downhill in Wengen, Switzerland. Carmen Küng
Carmen Küng (born 30 January 1978) is a curler from Solothurn, Switzerland. Carmen Küng began her senior elite career as the Third for 2002 Olympic Silver medalist Luzia Ebnöther during the 2006–2007 season. (During this season future Olympic teammate Carmen Schäfer threw second stones.) She would later move to the team of Silvana Tirinzoni for the 2008–2009 season. In the following season she joined her current team. Initially she joined Mirjam Ott's team as the Alternate and served in that capacity at both the 2008 and 2009 World Championships. Starting with the 2009–2010 competitive season Carmen Küng has played as the Second for Team Ott. Murder Of George Floyd
On , George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, was murdered in the U.S. city of Minneapolis by Derek Chauvin, a 44-year-old white police officer. Floyd had been arrested on suspicion of using a counterfeit $20 bill. Chauvin knelt on Floyd's neck for over nine minutes while Floyd was handcuffed and lying face-down in a street.
