Kévin Théophile-Catherine
Kévin Théophile-Catherine (born 28 October 1989) is a French professional footballer who plays as a defender for SuperSport HNL club Dinamo Zagreb. Career Stade Rennais Théophile-Catherine was born in Saint-Brieuc, Brittany to a Martiniquais father, and a Réunionnais mother of Malbars descent. Théophile-Catherine spent more than six seasons with Rennes, playing a key role as they won the French Under-18 Cup in 2007 and the National Under-19 trophy a year later. He made his first team debut against Le Mans in the League Cup and made his first French League appearance in a goalless draw against Lille, both during 2009, while he signed a first professional contract in the same year. He totalled 120 professional appearances for the club, scoring twice. The 2008–09 Ligue 1 season was the 71st since its establishment. Bordeaux became champions for the sixth time on the last weekend of the season. The fixtures were announced on 23 May 2008. The season began on 9 August 2008 and ended on 30 May 2009. A total of 20 teams contested the league, consisting of 17 who competed the previous season and three that were promoted from France's second division Ligue 2. The Coupe de la Ligue (), known outside France as the French League Cup, was a Single-elimination tournament, knockout cup competition in Football in France, French football organized by the Ligue de Football Professionnel. The tournament was established in 1993 and, unlike the Coupe de France, was only open to professional clubs in France which play in country's French football league system, top three football divisions, though the Championnat National, third is not fully professional. The Hrvatski nogometni kup ( eng, Croatian football cup), also colloquially known as Rabuzinovo sunce (), is an annually held football tournament for Croatian football clubs and is the second most important competition in Croatian football after the HNL championship. It is governed by the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) and usually runs from late August to late May. The Coupe de France, formerly known as the Coupe Charles Simon, is the premier knockout cup competition in French football organized by the French Football Federation (FFF). It was first held in 1917 and is open to all amateur and professional football clubs in France, including clubs based in the overseas departments and territories. Between 1917 and 1919, the competition was called the Coupe Charles Simon, in tribute of Charles Simon, a French sportsman and the founder of the French Interfederal Committee (the ancestor of the French Football Federation), who died in 1915 while serving in World War I.
