Kåre Syrstad
Kåre Syrstad (12 April 1939 – 3 February 2013) was a Norwegian agrarian leader. He was a board member of Sør-Trøndelag Agrarian Association from 1975, and advanced to chairman from 1979 to 1984. He was also a deputy board member of the Norwegian Agrarian Association from 1981 to 1984, being board member from 1985 and chairman from 1987 to 1991. In 1983 he became a supervisory council member of Norske Melkeprodusenters Landsforbund. He was a board member from 1984 to 1999, serving as chairman for the last eight years. The organization merged with Norske Meieriers Salgssentral in 1999 to form the cooperative Tine. Syrstad was also a board member of Trøndelag Meieri. He was a neighbor of politician and agrarian leader Johan Syrstad in Meldal Meldal is a former municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. Sør-Trøndelag
Sør-Trøndelag () was a county comprising the southern portion of the present-day Trøndelag county in Norway. It bordered the old Nord-Trøndelag county as well as the counties of Møre og Romsdal, Oppland, and Hedmark. To the west is the Norwegian Sea (Atlantic Ocean), and to the east is Jämtland in Sweden. The county was separated into a northern and southern part by the Trondheimsfjord. Slightly over 200,000 of the county's population (or around 55%) lives in the city of Trondheim and its suburbs. The Norwegian dialect of the region is Trøndersk. The region was divided into two administrative counties in 1804. Trøndelag Meieri
Trøndelag (; sma, Trööndelage) is a county in the central part of Norway. It was created in 1687, then named Trondhjem County ( no, Trondhjems Amt); in 1804 the county was split into Nord-Trøndelag and Sør-Trøndelag by the King of Denmark-Norway, and the counties were reunited in 2018 after a vote of the two counties in 2016. Johan Syrstad
Johan Syrstad (3 February 1924 – 16 December 2019) was a Norwegian politician for the Centre Party. He was born in Meldal as a son of Ivar Syrstad (1893–1973) and Johanna Syrstadeng (1898–1999). He attended folk high school from 1941 to 1942, took the examen artium in 1946 and one-year economical and agricultural schools. From 1950 to his retirement in 1988 he owned and operated the family farm Syrstad. He was also director of the local savings bank from 1983 to 1991. He was a member of Meldal municipal council from 1955 to 1975, the last twelve years in the executive committee. He chaired the county party chapter from 1960 to 1966. He served as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway from Sør-Trøndelag during the terms 1961–1965, 1965–1969, 1969–1973 and 1973–1977. Meldal
Meldal is a former municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 2020 when it joined Orkland Municipality. It was part of the Orkdalen region. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Meldal. Other villages included Løkken Verk, Bjørnli, Å, and Storås. The municipality was most renowned for its mining activities at Løkken Verk, being the birthplace of the ''Orkla mining company'', now Orkla Group. It was also home to the annual Storåsfestivalen music festival. At the time of its dissolution in 2020, the municipality was the 184th largest by area out of the 422 municipalities in Norway. Nils Valla
Nils Agnar Valla (born 1 March 1936) was a Norwegian agrarian leader and politician for the Centre Party. He hails from and resides in Bjerka in Hemnes. He was born in Korgen, and is a brother of Gerd-Liv Valla. He was an able track and field athlete in his youth, among others achieving 56.1 seconds in the 400 metres hurdles and in the discus throw. He and his sister represented the club Mo IL. He was a farmer from 1965 until retiring in 2000. Bjørn Iversen (born 18 March 1953) is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. From 1989 to 1990, during the cabinet Syse, Iversen was appointed State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture.
