Hanja (Hangul: ; Hanja: , ), alternatively known as Hancha, are Chinese characters () used in the writing of Korean. Hanja was used as early as the Gojoseon period, the first ever Korean kingdom. Park Kyung-won
Park Kyung-won (24 June 1901 – 7 August 1933) was, along with Kwon Ki-ok of the Republic of China Air Force, one of the earliest Korean female aviators. Though it is generally agreed that Kwon was the first female pilot, Park is still recognised as the first Korean female civilian pilot, as Kwon was trained by the Republic of China Air Force. She was the subject of the controversial 2005 South Korean film ''Blue Swallow'', in which she was portrayed by actress Jang Jin-young. Early life Park was born in Daegu, Gyeongsang-do. From 1912 to 1916, she attended Daegu's Myeongsin Women's School, a Presbyterian missionary school operated by Americans; a year after her graduation, on 13 September 1917, she departed her hometown for Japan. Kyongwon Ahn
Kyongwon Ahn, 9th ''dan'' ( Kukkiwon), is a South Korean taekwondo master who founded the United Taekwondo Association (UTA) in the United States. Ahn was born in 1937 in Seoul, Korea, and began training in the martial arts began when he was 12 years old. He served an internship with his instructor, Chang Bok Lee, as the Master Instructor for the South Korean and American armies from 1955 to 1967. In 1962, Ahn achieved his Juris Doctor (Civil Law) from Kangwon University. In August 1967, he emigrated to the US and began teaching tang soo do at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. He has also held teaching and advisory positions at the Miami University (in Ohio) and Xavier University. Na Kyung-won (나경원, born 6 December 1963) is a South Korean judge-turned-politician. She is a member of the conservative People Power Party, which is the main opposition party. She was a four-term member of the National Assembly and the first female floor leader of the Liberty Korea Party from December 2018 to December 2019. Moon Kyungwon (; born 1969) is a Seoul-based artist who received her Masters of Fine Arts from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) and Ph.D in Visual Communication from Yonsei University, South Korea. Moon held her solo exhibition at the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum in 2004. Her recent exhibitions include ''Poiesis of Collective Intelligence'' at Yamaguchi Center Arts and Media in 2013 and ''A Different Similarity'' at BOCUM Museum, Germany in 2010.
