Kyp Malone
David Kyp Joel Malone (born February 27, 1973) is an American multi-instrumentalist and member of the bands TV on the Radio, Iran, Rain Machine, and Ice Balloons. Biography Malone grew up in Moon Township, Pennsylvania and moved to New Jersey for High School. He graduated from North Hunterdon High School in 1991. Malone formed the band Iran with film director/singer/songwriter Aaron Aites in 2000. He later joined Tunde Adebimpe and David Sitek in TV on the Radio on ''Desperate Youth, Bloodthirsty Babes'' and has been in the band ever since. He writes, sings and plays instruments for the band. In his lyrics, he uses poetic imagery to address racism, show business, and politics in an indirect manner. Malone is in the band Ice Balloons and is also a member of The Yams Collective. He has also worked with Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson, including producing Robinson's 2009 album '' Summer Of Fear''. Broad City
''Broad City'' is an American television sitcom created by and starring Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson. It was developed from their independent web series of the same name, which was produced between 2009 and 2011. ''Tassili'' is the fifth album by the Tuareg-Berber band Tinariwen, recorded in Tassili n'Ajjer, an Algerian national park in 2011. The album marked a major departure from previous recordings. The producer, Ian Brennan, stated that it "was the least overdubbed, most live, band-centric and song-oriented record they have done.” The album won a Grammy Award for Best World Music Album in 2012. Recording sessions The album was recorded during a three-week session in the rocky desert near Djanet, a town on the southern rim of the Tassili n'Ajjer plateau, in south-eastern Algeria. Jolie Holland is an American singer and performer who combines elements of folk, traditional, country, rock, jazz, and blues. Ian Brennan (; born June 15, 1966) is an American music producer, author and lecturer on violence prevention. Brennan has authored six books, two on anger, ''Anger Antidotes'' (2011) and ''Hate-less'' (2014); a novella, ''Sister Maple Syrup Eyes'' (2015); and three on music, ''How Music Dies r Lives' (2016), ''Silenced by Sound'' (2019), and ''Muse-Sick'' (2021). Brennan travels in search of countries and languages whose music is under-represented internationally, making field recordings of musicians and producing albums of their work. Spinner was an online music and entertainment service. An AOL Music property, it was acquired by AOL on June 1, 1999, along with Nullsoft for $400 million. Based in San Francisco, California, the website was the first Internet music service and was the largest by 2001, while offering promotional features from high-profile recording artists. In 2002, AOL combined Spinner with the former's Netscape portal to form Netscape Radio. Spinner broadcast over 100 radio stations, including Radio CMJ. In 2008, Spinner was revamped by AOL as a music website aimed at the "music aficionado". The website offers exclusive interviews of recording artists, streams of albums and live performances, and a free music download daily. Spinner, along with all AOL music sites, was abruptly shut down in April 2013.
