Kyodo TV
is a Japanese television production company founded on July 28, 1958 as . It is a subsidiary of Fuji Television, one of the largest television networks in Japan. Kyodo produces a wide variety of television shows, including drama, news, anime series, and so on. Originally a part of Kyodo News, Kyodo Television was formed in 1958 through the joint financing of Tōkai Television Broadcasting, Kansai Telecasting Corporation, Nihon Kyōiku TV (NET, now TV Asahi JOEX-DTV (channel 5), branded as (also known as EX and and stylized as TV asahi), is a television station that is owned and operated by the subsidiary of certified broadcasting holding company , itself controlled by The Asahi Shimbun Compan ...), NHK, and other smaller partners as Kyodo Television News. The term is often translated as "stock company", "joint-stock company" or "stock corporation".
