Kym Greeley
Kym Greeley (born 1973) is a Canadian painter based in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, known primarily for her screen-printed paintings of the province's landscape and roads. In 2011, she was longlisted for the Sobey Art Award, one of Canada's most prestigious contemporary art awards. Career Greeley studied at the Cooper Union, Cooper Union School for the Advancement of Art and Science in New York as part of an exchange program, graduating in 1996. She then graduated from the NSCAD University, Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 1997, where she majored in Painting and Drawing. Greeley pursued a career as a contemporary artist in New York for five years, but found that her interests leaned towards the landscape. She returned to Newfoundland in 2003. Cooper Union
The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art (Cooper Union) is a private college at Cooper Square in New York City. Peter Cooper founded the institution in 1859 after learning about the government-supported École Polytechnique in France. Mireille Eagan
Mireille Eagan (born 1982) is a Canadian arts writer and curator. Career Mireille Eagan was born in Calgary, Alberta, in 1982 and grew up in Whitehorse, Yukon, and in Fredericton, New Brunswick. She is a graduate of Mount Allison University (Bachelor of Arts in Art History) and Concordia University (Master of Arts in Art History). She was Curator at the Confederation Centre Art Gallery in Prince Edward Island from 2008 to 2010. She is currently Curator of Contemporary Art at The Rooms in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. Cliff Eyland
Cliff Eyland (November 7, 1954 – May 16, 2020) was a Canadian painter, writer and curator. Career Born in Halifax and raised in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Eyland studied art at Holland College, Mount Allison University, and the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. While in school, he was influenced by artists Robert Morris, On Kawara and Daniel Buren. Eyland was best known for his work that transformed public spaces and his drawings and paintings done on the small 3 x 5 index card format. In 2005 his installation ''Untitled'', consisting of over 1000 paintings, opened at the Winnipeg's Millennium Library (Winnipeg), Millennium Library. McMichael Canadian Art Collection
The McMichael Canadian Art Collection (MCAC) is an art museum in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. The museum is located on a property in Kleinburg, an unincorporated village in Vaughan. The property includes the museum's main building, a sculpture garden, walking trails, and the cemetery for six members of the Group of Seven. The collection dates back to 1955, when Robert and Signe McMichael began to collect works from artists associated to the Group of Seven, exhibiting their works at their home in Kleinburg. In 1965, the McMichaels formally reached an agreement to donate their collection and their Kleinburg property to the Government of Ontario in order to establish an art museum.
