Kyle Tudge
Kyle Daniel Tudge (born 19 March 1987) is a Welsh cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a slow left-handed bowler who formerly played for Glamorgan. He was born at Newport. He entered first-class cricket for the first time in August 2006, making his debut courtesy of a knee injury to team-mate Dean Cosker, as the spin bowler made the step up from Second XI cricket to the first XI, making 3/27 on a steady debut. Tudge, also played for Wales Minor Counties, and appeared consistently for the Second XI since having been given a chance to perform for the first time halfway through 2005. Tudge is a lower-order batsman for the Glamorgan Second XI. Wales Minor Counties Cricket Club
Wales National County Cricket Club is one of twenty National county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents all of the historic counties of Wales except Glamorgan and is currently the only non-English member of the National Counties Cricket Championship. The team is currently a member of the National Counties Cricket Championship Western Division, having joined in 1988 after Somerset's second eleven left the competition, and plays in the NCCA Knockout Trophy. Glamorgan County Cricket Club ( cy, Criced Morgannwg) is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Glamorgan ( cy, Morgannwg). Founded in 1888, Glamorgan held minor status at first and was a prominent member of the early Minor Counties Championship before the First World War. In 1921, the club joined the County Championship and the team was elevated to first-class status, subsequently playing in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England and Wales. First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. Worcestershire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Worcestershire. List A cricket is a classification of the limited-overs (one-day) form of the sport of cricket, with games lasting up to eight hours. List A cricket includes One Day International (ODI) matches and various domestic competitions in which the number of overs in an innings per team ranges from forty to sixty, as well as some international matches involving nations who have not achieved official ODI status. Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Nottinghamshire. The club's limited overs team is called the Notts Outlaws. The county club was founded in 1841, although teams had played first-class cricket under the Nottinghamshire name since 1835. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Means of dismissal include being bowled, when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails, and by the fielding side either catching the ball after it is hit by the bat, but before it hits the ground, or hitting a wicket with the ball before a batter can cross the crease in front of the wicket. Dean Cosker
Dean Andrew Cosker (born 7 January 1978) is an English former cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a left-arm slow bowler who played for Glamorgan. He has played in first-class, List A and Twenty20 cricket. He attended Millfield School in Somerset between 1991 and 1996. He made his first-class debut in 1996 against Lancashire at Cardiff taking 6 wickets in the match. Soon after Cosker toured with England Under-19 cricket team in their tour of Pakistan. In 1997 he was given a longer run in the Glamorgan side as Robert Croft was playing for England. Cosker spent the next couple of winters touring with the England A squad to East Africa, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Zimbabwe. Cosker won his county cap in 2000 and became a key member of Glamorgan's highly successful one-day team between 2000 and 2005, where his accurate bowling, often in tandem with Robert Croft, and fielding backward of square on the off side were key to Glamorgan's success.
