Kyle Friend
Kyle Allen Friend (born April 3, 1994) is a former American football center. He played college football at Temple and signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2016. Early years Friend attended Cumberland Valley High School where he was selected to the 2010 and 2011 Associated Press All-State first-team and 2011 Harrisburg Patriot-News All-Area first-team. He was named to the 2011 Harrisburg Patriot-News All-Area first-team and 2011 Mid-Penn All-Conference. He was named Defensive Player of the Year and helped Cumberland Valley High School football team win back-to-back district championships in 2009 and 2010. Center (American Football)
Center or Centre (C) is a position in gridiron football. The center is the innermost lineman of the offensive line on a football team's offense. The center is also the player who passes (or "snaps") the ball between his legs to the quarterback at the start of each play. The importance of centers for a football team has increased, due to the re-emergence of 3–4 defenses. According to Baltimore Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome, "you need to have somebody who can neutralize that nose tackle. If you don't, everything can get screwed up. 2016 Temple Owls Football
The 2016 Temple Owls football team represented Temple University in the 2016 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Owls were led by fourth-year head coach Matt Rhule and played their home games at Lincoln Financial Field. They were members of the East Division of the American Athletic Conference. The 2016 NFL Draft was the 81st annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible American football players. As in 2015, the draft took place at the Auditorium Theatre and Grant Park in Chicago. The draft began on Thursday, April 28 with the first round, and ended on Saturday, April 30.
